Possible Solutions
Preambulatory Clauses:
1. Recognizing the urgent need for a political solution to the ongoing conflict in Yemen to preserve its
sovereignty and territorial integrity
or
2. Emphasizing that there is no military solution to the Yemeni conflict and that inclusive, Yemeni-led
political negotiations are essential for sustainable peace
3. Noting the continued humanitarian suffering in Yemen and the need for urgent international
humanitarian aid to mitigate the crisis
4. Acknowledging the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen, which has resulted in significant loss of life
and displacement of civilians
Operative Clauses:
1. Proposes the introduction of Demilitarized Zones in high-conflict areas, especially around civilian
infrastructure such as hospitals and schools, to reduce military tensions and ensure the safety of
non-combatants
2. Requests the immediate implementation of a comprehensive ceasefire in Yemen, monitored by a
UN-led Peacekeeping Force to ensure the protection of civilians and prevent the further escalation of
violence in key conflict zones, such as but not limited to Hodeidah, Taiz, and Sana’a
