Sizes:
• Each star is about 6 cm / 2 3/8'' in diameter. Distance between stars is 16 cm / 6 ¼''.
Each end with a hanging loop is 13 cm / 5 1/8''. 10 star garland is 170 cm / 66 7/8''.
Length can be customized.

Materials and Tools:

• 14 g / 43 yds of Scheepjes Softfun yarn (DK weight, 60% Cotton / 40% Acrylic, 50g
/ 140 m / 153.1 yds) in color 2426 / Off White for 10 stars garland. To buy this yarn

• Crochet hook C-2 / 2.75 mm – D-3 / 3.25 mm, tapestry needle. Use smaller hook if
skipping stiffening.
• Optional: fabric stiffener (Stiffy by PLAID on Amazon), brush.

Gauge:
• Gauge is not important for this project. Each star is about 6 cm / 2 3/8'' in diameter.

Garland:

Leave 22 cm / 8 5/8'' end to make a hanging loop later on.
1st star:
Rnd 1: Make a slip knot. Ch 12, sl st in 4th ch from hook (do not count one on hook), sl st
in each of next 3 ch (counts as dc), 13 dc in ch-4 ring, sl st in 2 sts at the same time: 3rd out
of 3 sl st and ch it was made in.
Rnd 2: sl st in each of next 3 ch (counts as dc), ch 3, sl st in next dc (1st out of 13 dc in ch-
4 ring), [ch 3, dc in next dc, (ch-2 picot: ch 2, sl st in last dc (in front lp and 1 strand from
post)), ch 3, sl st in next dc] 6 times. Ch 3, sl st in 2 sts at the same time: 3rd sl st and ch it
was made in. Sl st in each of next 2 ch (counts as ch-2 picot), sl st in slip knot.
Make a big lp, pass yarn skein through lp, tighten.
Stars 2 - 10:
[Skip 16 cm / 6 ¼'' of yarn between 2 stars, rep 1st star] 9 times.
Cut off yarn, leaving 22 cm / 8 5/8'' end.
Hanging loops:
Fold 9 cm / 3 ½'' and tie a knot, creating about 16 cm / 6 ¼'' loop to hang the garland. Rep
for beginning end.

Finishing:
Steam-block, stiffen if desired.
