1. Introduction.
The goal of this experiment is to get some knowledge of the basic behaviour observed in
diodes, and how they are used in electronic circuits. Building different circuits that have
diodes and keeping track of important factors like voltages and currents are among the
objectives. Through this research, we learn about how diodes work in electronic circuits and
what role they play in rectification.
This experiment has parts that involve a construction of a basic diode circuits. Voltage and
current will be measured using a multimeter specific points in the circuits. Additionally,
oscilloscope measurements will be conducted to observe voltage waveforms in half-wave and
full-wave rectifier circuits.
A diode is a semiconductor device with two terminals, a positive terminal called an anode and
a negative terminal called a cathode. A diode allows current to flow in only one direction[1].
2. Objectives.
• To design three basic diode circuits and measure voltages across specified points.
• To understand the operation of half-wave and full-wave rectifier circuits.
• To measure and analyse voltage waveforms in rectifier circuits using an oscilloscope.

5. Conclusion.
In conclusion, the sequence of experiments carried out on fundamental diode circuits
produced significant practical understandings regarding the characteristics of diodes and their
essential functions in rectifier circuits[3]. The goals were successfully achieved by the
building of multiple circuit configurations and the careful measurement of relevant
parameters. Analyses of the data showed that they were almost exactly in line with theoretical
predictions, demonstrating the reliability as well as efficacy of diodes in enabling alternating
current to be converted to direct current in electronic systems[3].
