Students will identify specific sounds, letters, words, punctuation, writing technique, etc. in each poem. They will read along after repeated readings of the poems & books. Reading Workshop

Students will read self-selected books that are the right fit (on their independent reading level). They will model skills & strategies that have been taught during read alouds & shared reading. They will respond to their books orally and/or in writing.

Choice Time
During this time, the children have an opportunity to choose an activity from one of the following: Housekeeping, Blocks, Bin Activities, Math Manipulatives, Car Mat, Listening Center, Puppet Show, Games, Art, Books, Puzzles, Writing. The children must put one activity away before moving to another choice.
