Club Assembly Art Plourde, President-Elect 2012-2013

The proposed 2012-2013 budget was Arts topic at the Club Assembly. In fact he has forwarded a copy of the budget via email on May 11. Now he would also like to add suggestions for meal costs. From the calculated total he subtracted meal income from visitors and then divided that by the projected number of member meals. The result was $10.50 per meal per person (brown bagging @ $2). The Y and Boys Republic are at no cost and other meals are special event meals. 50-50 Tickets: 1 for $.50 and 12 for $4.50. This is to eliminate coin change. Members will continue to have the option of requesting invoices for dues with pre-payment or community center meals monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. He will meet with both board in early June to finalize these budgets.

Tidbits from Rotarys Past Submitted by Rotarian Al McCombs

Chino Rotary Golf Goes Back To 1928 What is believed to have been the clubs first golf tournament was introduced on March 6, 1928, in the Champion as follows: At the meeting of the local Rotarians an announcement was made that on Wednesday, March 14, the club will hold a golf tournament on the Los Serranos links. It is rumored that the greens are in excellent condition and that the Rotarians, many of whom have seldom or never wielded a club, are planning or making a glorious debut in golf-dom. Who knows but that some record may be shattered, or a hole-in-one chalked up for some aspiring Bobby Jones or Walter Hagen. Club members have been divided into two teams, and B. McCall Aldrich is to captain the Scotchmen and Robert A. Condee the Politicians. T-Shirts
