    3. Masters in management program: Ranked 3rd in the France (The
    Economist)
    4. World Rank : 75 (FT rankings) – Top 100
    5. Attendance Criterion: 80% (But was relaxed during our term)
    6. Last year intake from IIM Lucknow - 6 Students ( 3- Lille, 3- Nice)
    7. Known for programs in Strategy Consuting and digital transformation
    and Entreprenuership (Other tracks like Marketing also offered)

    Teaching methods 3

    • Lectures in English: Yes, Subject allotment happens about 2 months


    before the course starts
    • Faculty: Decent on a whole. Few courses have some amazing
    faculty.
    • Teaching methodology: Strategy Courses have both group projects
    and final presentations ; Final Exams for Most courses
    • Work load : 80% attendance
    Not ideal for HEPP Students ( Since final exams have to be taken at
    campus in Mid December)
    • Learning:
    Certain interesting courses like Business Capstone game which are
    offered at other IIM’s but not at L can be taken

    -Entreprenuership and Innovation Management
    -Marketing Management
    •All 3 of us opted for Strategy Consulting & Dig. Transformation Track
    •Courses taken were :
    -Strategy & Business Modelling
    -M&A and Strategic Alliances
    -Strategic Analysis and Critical Thinking
    - Financial Accounting and reporting FSA)
    - Cracking business cases ( Block Course- 3 days)
    - Online Spreadsheet modeling (Online HBR course)
    - Business Capstone Simulation ( Block Course- 3 days)
    •Other courses like Socio Cultural France also offered but classes will be
    spread out so not advisable to opt for it

    Schedule and Other things 5

    • Reached on Sep 3 and left on Dec 15


    • Out of 106 days, 60+ free days with no classes
    • Max 1-2 classes per day , each class would be 3 hours with breaks in
    between
    • Some courses have CP component (like M&A ) so try to attend some
    classes in those courses
    • End term exams were scheduled from 12-14 Dec and had to be taken
    at the campus
    • Not at all HEPP friendly (since not possible to come back early)
    • But 3/6 people at Edhec got placed in HEPP through Skype !

    » Location Advantage: One hour from Paris (by TGV) and 3 hours
    by free train ; Belgium just 20 minutes away by train (Close
    proximity to Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam )

    » Students from various parts of the world : But interaction would


    be limited since we would travel for most part

    » Reputation of the College (Ranking)

    » Folks from Top B-schools(A,B,C) of India

    » Facilities: Gym, Sports, Swimming Pool etc etc !!!

    • Don’t choose the Marketing track as classes are heavily spread out which would
    make traveling difficult
    • Can opt for entrepreneurship track as well (If anyone is interested we can connect
    you to IIM C folks who opted for this track)
    • We completed 6 credits by taking 7 subjects (1 was online )
    • Student accommodation near the college: Airbnb since campus acco is
    expensive (We paid around 1 lakh for 106 days per person & our acco was 15 min
    walk from campus ; can share owner’s contact )
    • Outskirts accommodation is cheaper: But travel time may be higher
    • Do buy the Eurail 2nd Class pass (very useful for folks at Lille)
    • Long Term Student Visa required (Apply in advance to avoid last minute hassles)
    • Total expenditure : 4.5-5.5 L depending on Individual
    • Countries covered : 15+ (Always scope for covering more)
