NOW I KNOW!

WHAT ARE THE SENSE ORGANS AND SENSES?

The sense organs are your body’s windows. Through

your sense organs, you come to know what is happening
around you. Each of your sense organs is associated
with a specific sense.

SENSE ORGANS SENSES

Eyes Sight
Nose Smell
Ears Hearing
Tongue Taste
Skin/Hand Touch

REMEMBER:
We gather information about our surroundings through the use of our senses.
We use our sense organs in observing the things around us.

EYES Sight – to see the color, shape, size or movement of objects

TONGUE Taste – to tell if the food is salty, sour, sweet or bitter

EARS Hearing – to tell how soft, loud, high or low the sound is

HAND/SKIN Touch – to feel the pressure, pain, touch and temperature of things

NOSE Smell – to smell the fruity, flowery, spicy, foul or burnt odor of
things around us

Our sense organs - eyes, nose, ears, tongue and
hands – make us aware of things around us. These
sense organs work together when we do certain
activities.
