Components of Air Fiber:
The components of an air fiber or fixed wireless access (FWA) system typically include:
• Base Station (BS): The base station serves as the central hub of the air fiber network. It typically consists
of a high-capacity radio transceiver, antennas, and networking equipment. The base station communicates
with subscriber units and manages the flow of data to and from the internet.
• Subscriber Unit (SU): The subscriber unit, also known as the customer premises equipment (CPE), is
installed at the end-user's location (e.g., home or business). It includes a radio transceiver, antennas, and
sometimes additional networking equipment. The subscriber unit establishes a wireless connection with
the base station to receive internet service.
• Antennas: Antennas are essential components for both the base station and subscriber units. They are
used to transmit and receive radio signals, facilitating communication between the base station and
subscriber units over the air.
• Radio Transceivers: Radio transceivers are devices that can both transmit and receive radio signals.
They are used in both the base station and subscriber units to enable two-way communication over the air
interface.

• Networking Equipment: Networking equipment, such as routers, switches, and access points, is used to
manage the distribution of data within the air fiber network and connect subscriber units to the broader
internet infrastructure.
• Power Supply: Base stations and subscriber units require power to operate. Depending on the
deployment scenario, power may be supplied via traditional electrical grid connections, solar panels,
batteries, or other alternative energy sources.
• Mounting Hardware: Mounting hardware, such as brackets, poles, and mast mounts, is used to securely
install base stations and subscriber units in various locations, such as rooftops, towers, or poles.

Advantages of Air Fiber
High-Speed Internet Connectivity
• Air Fiber technology provides high-speed internet connectivity, allowing users to access and
transfer data at incredibly fast speeds.
• With Air Fiber, users can enjoy seamless streaming, gaming, and downloading without
experiencing lag or buffering.
Low Latency
• Air Fiber offers low latency, which means there is minimal delay or lag in data transmission.
• This is especially beneficial for applications that require real-time communication, such as
online gaming, video conferencing, and remote control systems.
Scalability
• Air Fiber networks are highly scalable, allowing for easy expansion and adaptation to changing
needs.
• As the demand for internet connectivity grows, Air Fiber can easily accommodate increased
traffic and support more users without compromising performance.
