THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS

Aparri First Branch

The
FRESHSTART
MESSAGE FROM THE FIRST PRESIDENCY

“Our dear young brothers and sisters,

We love you and we have confidence in you. You are truly among
Heavenly Father’s choice spirits, sent to earth at this time to do
important things.

There may be times when you don’t feel strong or capable. That’s
normal. Especially in those moments, turn to the Savior. He is
the “strength of youth.”

This guide will help you build a solid foundation for making
choices to stay on the covenant path. It will help you
prepare to make sacred covenants in the temple,
prepare to serve a mission, and find joy in following Jesus
PRINCIPLES TO BECOMING A “STRENGTHENED YOUTH”?

1.Building a solid foundation for making

choices to stay on the covenant path;
2.Preparing to make sacred covenants in
the temple;
3.Preparing to serve a mission;
4.Finding joy in following Jesus Christ
throughout your life.
LESSONS IN THE FOR THE STRENGTH OF YOUTH GUIDE

 Make inspired choices.

 Jesus Christ will help you.
 Love God, love your neighbor.
 Walk in God’s light.
 Your body is sacred.
 Truth will make you free.
 Find joy in Christ.
GOAL:

In every Mutual activity,

a devotional must be first
conducted where topics
from the FSY Guidebook
must be discussed.

Youth must be able to

share their experiences
and testimonies, and be
extended with a specific
commitment to do
relevant to the topic.
VISION:

To strengthen your
faith in Jesus Christ
and help you and
your family
progress along the
covenant path as
you meet life’s
challenges.
1. SEEK REVELATION

You can learn for

yourself-right now at
your age-how to receive
personal revelation. And
nothing will make a
bigger difference in your
life than that!

(President Nelson)
2. EXERCISE AGENCY

Desires dictate our

priorities, priorities
shape our choices, and
choices determine our
actions. The desires we
act on determine our
changing, our achieving,
and our becoming.
(President Oaks)
3. BUILD RELATIONSHIPS

All of us need true

friends to love us, to
listen to us, to show us
the way, and to testify of
truth to us so that we
may retain the
companionship of the
Holy Ghost. You must be
such a true friend.
(President Eyring)
Following the Savior in All Areas of your
Life

The scriptures teach that in His youth,

“Jesus increased in
wisdom and stature,
and in favor with God
Jesus Christ developed in all areas of His
life…

SPIRITUALLY (favor with God)

SOCIALLY (favor with man)
PHYSICALLY (stature)
INTELLECTUALLY (wisdom)
