Access

To everyone visiting Soka University.

Soka University is located 4km north of JR Hachioji Station, about 20 minutes by bus. Hachioji Station is about 40 minutes from Shinjuku on the JR Chuo Line or Keio Line (private railway). It is also about 45 minutes from Shin-Yokohama Station on the Tokaido Shinkansen on the JR Yokohama Line.

For those coming to Soka University

For those coming by car

Chuo Expressway... Approximately 7 minutes from Hachioji IC (approximately 3km)
Ken-o Expressway: Approx. 12 minutes (approx. 6km) from Akiruno IC

For general visitors, please use the Midorifu Parking Lot and Midorioka Parking Lot, which are designated as "general visitor parking lots."

Free for up to 24 hours. However, please note that you will not be able to leave the parking lot after 24 hours.

*Please use Shinseiki Bridge when entering the university campus.

For those coming by bus

Please take the Nishitokyo Bus from the north exit of JR Hachioji Station, Keio Hachioji Station, or Haijima Station.

1. Soka University Main Gate Tokyo Fuji Art Museum

(Direct bus via Hiyodoriyama Tunnel and Yokamachi)
At Soka University, the bus stops only at the Main Gate bus stop. The direct bus departs from JR Hachioji Station.

2. Soka University Circulation

Via the Hulsuboriyayama Tunnel and Yokamachi
At Soka University, buses stop at the Main Gate, Soudaimmon Gate, and Eikomon Gate bus stops.

3. To Soka University Eikomon Gate (Direct)

Only two buses run in the morning. At Soka University, the bus stops only at the Eikomon bus stop. The first bus departs from JR Hachioji Station.

4. To Kogakuin University via the Soka University main gate

A new section between Haijima Station and Tobuki will be opened via the main gate.
In addition, a new service between Haijima Station and Tobuki via the main gate will be opened on weekdays only. (Schedule change on March 26, 2016)
