research content | So far, I have mainly been working on the following research themes: 1. Research on modern Japanese-Chinese cultural exchange, 2. Comparative research on family systems. For the former, I have dealt with one aspect of academic and educational exchange through Tsunesaburo Makiguchi, a geography Lecturer at Kobun Gakuin, where many Chinese students studying in Japan attended in the late Qing Dynasty, and his book "Human Geography." For the latter, I have been working on comparative research between Japan and China (including Hong Kong and Macau), focusing on divorce systems and customs, especially since the modern era. |
Research and Education Policy | While summarizing the results of previous research, I will address various issues surrounding this research theme. At this stage, I plan to focus on "Modern Japan-China Cultural Exchange Research" and cover the following topics: 1. Reexamination from various magazines, 2. Reexamination from the China Education Inspection Team, 3. The role played by those who returned from studying in Japan, 4. The development of cultural projects in China and subsequent Japan-China relations. In particular, I would like to consider what "cultural comparison" is through the acceptance and friction between the two cultures of Japan and China. |
Message | We would like students to select one or more subjects for comparative study of Japanese and Chinese culture that are related to the research themes they have been working on so far, and to keep them aware of the issues and continue to think about them on a daily basis. |
