I hate Nintendo Switch Online. I hate the lack of optimization. I hate the expensive subscription service. I hate the lack of games. I hate the limited time releases. I hate that it's never gonna have the level of content that the Wii virtual console had. I hate what capitalism has done to gaming.

Have you ever looked closely at a car windshield?
The edge of the glass is painted where it is glued to the car but it has these small dots between the clear and painted glass.
These are there for a reason. When the sun hits the glass the painted areas and the clear areas will absorb heat at different rates. This causes the glass to expand and contract differently putting stress on the glass.
These dots help the glass to warm up more evenly over a larger area so the glass does not suffer stress that could cause it to spontaneously explode.
Fun fact: the Tesla cybertruck doesn’t have these.
Yes, the glass will spontaneously crack or explode in the sun.

My new goal is to write at least 1,084,170 word of harry potter fanfic because the original series is that long and if I write more than that I can actually say I have written more about the characters than JKR and logically know them better than she does.

Me: Did you know that medieval cathedrals weren't actually supposed to be dark and rundown places with only stained glass as color? They were bright places full of light... the reason they look like that now is because of the centuries of accumulated grime and dust, here look at this restoration of the Cathedral of Chartres in France:
It's based on actual paint from the times, and when you think about it, it makes a lot more sense, after all a church is supposed to be a bright place of hope. Yet when we think about the middle ages we think about grimy and dark cathedrals. I wonder how much of our conception of history is shaped by our current visions of historical buildings.

Things cats were right about all along:
- Fuck staying hydrated by drinking enough water - eat! more! wet! food! (watermelon, cucumbers, SOUP!)
- Feels great to be really high up in your house where you can see the whole place (loft bed loft bed loft bed loft bed!)
- Express yourself as clearly as possible when people are touching you and you don't want them to.
- Optional, but you can also express yourself clearly when your people are not touching you and you want them to.
- Sometimes it's important to just go "hmm. actually, I don't care" and wander off.
- You don't have to be the strongest or toughest to defend yourself, it's enough to just be difficult enough to not be worth the trouble.
- Ghosts will eventually leave if you stare at them for long enough.
