I didn't ask if it made sense to keep going. I said I'm going to kick your twisted evil ass.

Fight against the chaotic forces that wish to destroy you.

Turn apophis into a sausage... rattlesnake tastes good

do y'all remember when they found all that tf art in Osamu Tezuka's drawer post-mortem because I think about it often

anyway keep chasing your bliss and draw weird shit, god knows we need that right now

the deeply US american impulse to do, or be responsible for, vindictive punitive individual violence saturates their culture. it's their favorite power fantasy, and one which frequently mutates into some form of socially acceptable expression within almost any context. content mills churn out stories about "annoying" people "getting their comeuppance" by being violently punished for social faux pas. the desire to unperson someone for a perceived sleight against their personal morality. the ubiquitous "zombie apocalypse survival fantasy" where the subject is afforded a chance to exact brutal violence against the subhuman masses. the "good guy with a gun" fantasy where the subject is afforded a chance to Take Justice Into Their Own Hands and be celebrated as a moral agent for this. seeing a homeless person or a mentally ill person in the world Just Existing justifies fantasies of vindictive assault by the bourgeois police or by simple personal vigilantism. a culture saturated with a deeply-felt visceral, moral sense of Disgust and Revulsion which seemingly can only be appeased by endless rivers of blood. a profoundly sick culture which, down to its core, nurtures and cultivates a virulent and voracious hostility towards human life and humanity. a consequence of living in a gilded castle which is held up by the mechanisms of global imperialist violence seemingly is that you must accept that your personal comfort always justifies the letting of those rivers of blood.

One scene I find funny from a Batman is when a Bruce was interrogating a man who only speaks Hungarian and the man says “You can’t understand a word I’m saying and I wouldn’t tell you if you could.”

And to this Bruce pauses, before speaking in Hungarian “I can….and you will.” before closing in on the guy.

Do you have any idea how terrifying that would be? It’s like talking shit about someone in a different language just for the person in question to speak in your language perfectly. It’s like that but like 20 times worst. You just talked shit to Batman with the belief you have some sort of language barrier protective bubble just for the Bat to immediately pop that bubble.

I’d probably shit my pants.

It’s also really funny how many people think they’re built different when it comes to Batman. There will still be goons that think Batman is a bitch and how they could easily take him on. That’s like me saying I could beat Serena Williams in a tennis match because I’m apparently built more different than the average American.

It’s really funny to play the Batman games and hear one of the goons confidently ask “wanna get cut Batman?” as if he is going to be the one to take down the bat. It’s also hilarious for the goon to claim they’ll never snitch even though a 6 foot something behemoth of a man that’s wearing full combat bat armor has one foot on their chest. In what fucking world does this goon think they have the upper hand, with all of their bones still there and extremely breakable? You couldn’t be in a worst situation if you tried honestly.

As soon as Batman is on the scene I’m folding. I’m singing immediately about everything my boss is doing. I would literally keep a diary on me that fully explains it just to make it easier for Batman. Just pull out my book and be like “march 10th, the penguin is planning on robbing Gotham’s bank. He has hostages already picked out.”

I don’t get how people are still confident in dealing with the Batman.

Cats logic 🤷🐱🐈

It's not that kitty is saying she can't make the wheel go. Kitty is saying she wants to do the wheel WITH her person. Much the same way many cats won't wat unless their person is eating at the same time.

This is a request for social togetherness and it's incredibly sweet

pretentious moment incoming but why is everyone's idea of fashion so fucking boring these days. why the fuck did my manager just ask me "what's with the scarf". "what's with the scarf" fuck man do I need a reason to wear a faggy little scarf now? you could just say "nice scarf man". what's with your attitude

If you pass the time at work daydreaming about how you’d rebuild and create community after a civilization collapse, take a little time every once in a while to build up the skills and experience to do that

Learn how to fight or shoot a gun. Read about herbal and DIY medicine, and start growing some of those plants yourself. Get into graffiti, shoplifting, dumpster diving, or sabotaging security cameras so you can build up experience with getting things done in secret and getting away with them. Learn how to lockpick, repair holes in clothing, grow food, start and utilize a fire, build and fix things, etc. Get a couple friends together and start a little mutual aid distro, and let it grow organically over time. Get into ham or CB radio or long-range wifi meshnets. Get to know your local activist scene. Get to know your neighbors and your coworkers, and talk to them about the things that bother or worry you and how you could start fixing them together

Maybe that collapse comes and you’re a little bit more prepared to build a better world. Or maybe it doesn’t, and you can get started making yourself and your community a little better and more independent anyway. Either way, taking a couple hours every week to build some skills and get some stuff done can make you feel so much less helpless
