A camera that had been released into Loch Ness 55 years ago has been rediscovered in 2025. An ocean going submarine named Boaty McBoatFace found the camera by accident. The submarine was going through trials in the loch when its propellers got stuck on the camera’s mooring.

Adrian Shine of the Loch Ness Project stated that this camera was one of six that were released. Three of the cameras were allegedly lost in the Loch which makes this discovery all the more interesting. The camera’s housing kept it dry for all these years and it was handed over to the Loch Ness Centre. No evidence of a lake dwelling monster has been found on the camera. However, it is exciting to have found such a historic item in tact after so many years.

You know who saw it coming? The researchers who worked hard to investigate and record it like this. Thank them, support them, and defend them at all costs for their willingness to objectively document societal problems our government would rather deny; the current establishment does not want these things to be scientifically documented and already wants to cut funding to academia for that very reason. Unfortunately, one study can never be enough; as long as this continues to affect people, it will continue to warrant studies like this, preferably more thorough and from more sources so we can have objectively verified information on its frequencies and patterns, so we can see how it varies by demographic or geography or even seasonally, so we have a vital resource for planning the most effective ways to counter the problem, so we have data to back up legal cases, so we can archive and preserve precious data on something some people would cover up if they could, but at the very least so there's RECORD. Why wouldn't you want someone to investigate this in detail and write down what they saw in a form that can be preserved and archived????

And how Tigress had severe, destructive anger issues when she was younger, but instead of being painted as a “problem child” she was instead taught her how to channel her emotions into something constructive?

And how Crane trained extra hard to impress a girl, and was by all rights the hero of his own story, but he still didn’t get her in the end? And how the girl isn’t shamed for it?

It’s almost as if you get more mileage out of treating your characters (and the people they resemble) with compassion than you do just shamelessly stamping them with your own misconceptions and hang ups.
