I live in a black dominated neighborhood.

I live in a neighborhood where white is such a minority that someone approached me to ask “who are you waiting for?” And gestured to an apartment building when I was sitting on the tailgate of my truck, waiting for a friend to arrive to my place. “I know everyone in the building, who are you waiting for?” I said “no one, I was the first person to move into this new building 6 years ago, you obviously don’t know anyone.” But why I was even approached by a stranger demanding to know who I was waiting for like it’s their personal business is beyond me… But being a white person in a black neighborhood this is a daily sort of thing.

There are people who refuse to take the elevator with me in our apartment building. Parents who won’t let my 8 year old brother play with their kids at the apartment’s park. I’ve been stalked and harassed on the streets. Our neighbor once treated my mom like a friend in private, but told her that the other women can’t know because they would talk shit about her being friends with a white woman. I watched as an elderly old man tried to start conversation about the weather with a younger gentleman, the young black man turned to the old white man and said, “don’t talk to me, I don’t like white people.”

Tell me that racism, judgement and negativity based on skin color, doesn’t happen to whites and I will tell you to shove it up your ass.

You can’t fight suppression with suppression and white lives matter too.

I am a “white” person, I can for a fact say that because I am white I’ve been harassed, called things like cracker bitch, or slave driving cunt, or racist whore and just stupid shit like that that implies I have something against others because I’m “white” and what pisses me off is the fact that 1. I am not a racist in any form of the word and 2. When my ancestors first came to this country (my great grandparents on all sides) they were treated like shit for being Italians, Irishmen, Russian/Ukrainians, and Germans. These people all came here during World War One to escape the horrors of their home countries and faced shit conditions when they got here and worked their asses off to survive but even after they “made it” even their children and grandchildren were discriminated against because they spoke a different language and had a different heritage. My family on my fathers side not only had to stop speaking Italian but under went a name change to alter our last name due to an incident where my uncle was almost killed for being a Gaudi and on my mother’s side my grandfather and grandmothers families were jumped and kicked out of stores or restaurants because people heard them speaking Irish, Russian, or German. So yes, my skin is white as snow on Christmas morning but I come from the blood of immigrants that had to fight to survive 24 fucking 7, I am made from a melting pot of immigrants and a melting pot of oppression so the next time you see a white person just remember that not everyone is a racist, and some of us know what discrimination feels like just as well as anyone else.

Slavery

Yo why do white people get the blame for slavery? The oldest recorded case of slavery was Suma. Which is Mesopotamia. Which is the Middle East. In Suma they started taking European slaves, and then started taking African slaves.

This literally means that white people were slaves before black people.

Also, white people outlawed slavery. Whereas in Africa, slavery is still a thing.

So yeah, if you could stop blaming us white folk for slavery, that’d be great.

Dogs actually do have a language center in their brains. They process language just the same way we do, just not as well.

They do understand our words. This is not true of all domesticated animals (horses, for example, can only manage to distinguish a relatively small number of spoken commands…but boy do they know what you’re really saying).

They don’t understand “just your tone of voice” as a lot of people think.

As of 2016 the record vocabulary for a dog demonstrating understanding of words is over 1,000.

So if you give them a way to talk back, they’re going to use it.

The development of language skills is probably a side effect of domestication and of being kept in close contact with humans. A dog that was a better hunting partner would be kept and bred and over time they developed a better understanding of language.

In other words, dogs are pretty dang smart because we need them to understand us.

And also that is a very good boy.

Check out the owner Christina’s Instagram: one of the first things I saw was a video where the dog started barking and, when prompted by the owner, said “outside, look look look look look look look, come outside.” Which is basically exactly how one would expect a dog to speak. 

The owner described bringing an unknown package into the house, and the dog ran away to push the buttons for “help no no help help” which is also about what I expect goes on in a scared pup’s mind.

In another video, the dog tried to push a button, and the button wasn’t working. The dog paused and then pushed the buttons for “No. Help.” 

In yet another (which the owner seemed impressed by), Stella said “come eat come play.” The owner asked the dog which she wanted to do, to eat or to play? And the dog clarified “come eat.” After eating, then the dog tried to instigate play. So the dog may have been able to understand a short spoken question, and how “questions and answers” work, and also understands sequences, even if she can’t express them (”I want to eat, THEN I want to play”)

Stella can even recount short-term memories, like when her family returned from the beach for dinner and she said “water good, no eat, play”

By the way, the owner uses the buttons as well, which probably really helps reinforce their meaning. She uses them to say things like “Stella all done eat” or “Stella and Christina go outside, bye!”

Wanna know my favorite part? Stella sometimes pushes the buttons for “Stella good” when she’s done a good job. Stella IS good! :D She also makes phrases using “love you,” like “Christina, love you, come play!”

2) DON’T type in services.msc

3) DON’T find Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Services and right-click to get a dropdown menu, and don’t select ‘properties’

4) if you happen to click properties, DON’T use the startup type dropdown to locate the option to disable the program. be sure you DON’T click apply to finalize that change. 

5) DO NOT do the same thing in order to also disable Adobe Genuine Software Monitor 

if you do all of these things, this WILL disable adobe’s ability to monitor the software, and you will be forced to continue using the same older software that you already paid for instead of having to sign up for a newer, shittier version and pay more for it. so if you have lots of cash to spare and are cool with putting it the pockets of racketeering capitalists, definitely don’t do any of these things. 

however, you SHOULD reblog this to spread the word, as we certainly want to make sure lots of people know what NOT to do :)
