a friend just tipped me off about Fund a Kitchen in Gaza, a free tool that helps you locate and donate to community kitchens currently serving some of Gaza's most vulnerable!
this lets you choose a region (south, central, north) and see which kitchens operate in that area, then donate to as many as you can.
as a reminder, community kitchens try to buy and cook in bulk, which makes ingredients last longer & sustain more people in the conditions of extreme scarcity that Israel is imposing right now. they are also able to serve people on the ground who may not have the means to reach out online.
so, whether through this tool or not, please do support community kitchens, as well as mutual aid groups that cover additional needs, such as the Sameer Project (meals, tents, cash aid, medical aid) and Dahnoun Mutual Aid (meals, tents, baby supplies, cash aid, winter clothes).

a really great organization that i don't see any posts about here is HEAL palestine. it was founded by steve sosebee, who was a founding president of the PCRF before leaving in late 2023 to refocus his efforts on heal palestine to better meet the needs of palestinians impacted by the genocide. the organization provides palestinians in gaza with food, clean water, shelters, "makeshift classrooms," and even medical evacuation for some children when it's possible--their services are pretty wide.
you can donate here if you would like to send a tax-deductible donation to an organization. also, i don't think any evacuations are possible right now, but if you're in the united states and you'd like to welcome medically evacuated children in the future, i highly recommend signing up for their newsletter or following them on social media so you can stay updated in case any children evacuated by HEAL come to your area for treatment. welcoming these kids at the airport is a really moving way to provide them with moral support, entirely for free.

I know I've said this a hundred times but if you're worried about palestinian fundraisers being scams at least consider donating to MSF. It's a highly reputable organization which has broken its long-standing neutrality to denounce Israel in front of the UN. Here's all the aid MSF is providing to Gazans (documentation available in multiple languages).
Since I know no one's gonna click on that link, here's a quick overview of some of the various ways in which Medicins Sans-Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders) is aiding Palestinians
- Since Oct 7 2023, MSF provided for 14000 hospital admissions and 7500 surgeries, on top of treating 27500 people for physical violence causes, treating 34000 people for diarrhoea (very common condition in Gaza currently due to the sanitary crisis) and holding 18000 mental health sessions.
-MSF is currently operating in two hospitals, eight healthcare facilities and fifteen mobile clinics, providing surgical support, wound care, physiotherapy, maternity and paediatric care, basic healthcare, vaccinations, and mental health services among other things (more info on the treatments provided by each facility on the link above). Additionally, they provide training for psychological, medical and paramedical volunteers, and donate first aid kits to various camps (info on the specific locations on the link above).
- Via their partnership with the Palestinian Agriculture and Development Association, they're building latrines for over 30000 people in six camps, distributing hygiene kits to 2400 families, and ensuring clean drinking water for 25000 people, on top of equipping a camp for 70 families with accessible sanitary facilities for disabled people.
- Since October 7, 2023, eight of their medics have died. Seven of them are remembered here, and their latest, Hasan Suboh, in this statement that denounces Israel's allies for disregarding the fact that the protection of humanitarian workers is not being guaranteed as they claim.
MSF does not only stand for Palestine in humanitarian terms, it also does so politically to an extent, holding Israel and its allies accountable for sabotaging ceasefire negotiation attempts.
MSF also provides aid to Sudan, the Democratic Republic Of Congo, Haiti, Ethiopia and 76 other countries.
To better maximize your donation to MSF, I advise keeping an eye out for donation doubling and tripling periods, which occur fairly often and can be checked on their website.

i don't want to scream and cry and freak out about this anymore, not with the whole... everything the world and people close to me are constantly going through. i feel fucking useless.
i'm once again having to save up a survival fund. here are several posts explaining why, including a ko-fi post from three years ago.
employment has been frustratingly out of reach. i've sent out dozens of job applications over the past couple months and no one's hiring. there's also not a lot i can safely do as someone with ME/CFS and long COVID. the abusive environment i escaped only last year prevented me from gaining any 'actual' work experience. on top of that, i struggle with severe executive dysfunction, burn out, dissociation, various disruptive post traumatic symptoms... all unmedicated.
in fact, i am not being treated for any of my disabilities or mental illnesses. i don't even have a medical history that would be eligible to apply for disability benefits. years of neglect and my caregivers enabling medical mistreatment made sure that barely anything is on record. i also wouldn't be able to afford medications and treatments long term even if i'm successful in getting doctors to take me seriously.
stress about finances is absolutely not helping all the debilitating physical and psychological symptoms. it feels like so many things have to go right at the same time in order for me to become employable with my disabilities adequately managed, so that i can become more independent.

Mira's condition deteriorated. She initially suffered from severe pneumonia, then Mira suffered an injury to her hand and suffered a fracture in her hand. At the same time, she had a high temperature due to the cold, and began coughing a lot and suffering from chest infections. Today I entered the ninth month and I am about to give birth to my child, who does not know what suffering and hunger awaits him. There is no money to buy clothes and diapers due to the high prices.
