Hello, I'm Ola, a graduate student from the faculty of science - Al-Azhar University in G@za P@lestine. I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. As you reading my message, myself and my family, “my mother, father, three sisters, and my little brother,” are trying to survive under all kinds of suffering including but not limited to fear, instability, and starvation, thirst, and poverty in northern G@za.

Since 389 days until now, We haven't had a single piece of fruit or even a single vegetable! For more than a year we have been living without any kind of meat, chicken or fish, we live without healthy food or clean drink, one meal costs us more than $100 per person after prices increased by 20-25 times, can you imagine the severe malnutrition we suffer from? I know for sure that you can't help all families that want your help but at least you can help those who come across your life.

Our Story: A Family's Journey Through War

My name is Mounir, and I am part of a family of seven. We used to live a simple life in Gaza, before the war changed everything.

My father, Raed (47), my mother, Amani (39), my older sisters, Rasha (22), who is married, and Rana (21), who is also married, my brother Mohamed (16), and my little sister Sham (4), we all dreamed of a safe and stable life.

When the war began, we were forced to leave our home due to heavy shelling nearby.

We took shelter in the shop that was our only source of income— a sanitary supplies shop where my father, brother, and I worked.

We could only stay one night before leaflets were dropped from airplanes ordering a full evacuation of the area. We had no choice but to move to Al-Shifa Medical Complex, where we lived in a tent for a week.

Then, another evacuation order came, and we were told to head south of Gaza.

With no relatives to take us in, we ended up in an unfinished school building in the central area.

The 90 days we spent there were the hardest of our lives— no water, no food, and nothing fit for human life. We had to walk more than 1.5 kilometers just to buy a small amount of food to keep us alive.

After this long ordeal, another evacuation order came, but before we could leave, the school was bombed.

It was terrifying— we narrowly escaped death, leaving everything behind.

We fled to Rafah, a place that seemed safer at first, but there too, we found no shelter.

We had to live in a tent, in the freezing winter cold.

We had no way to keep warm, and we nearly froze to death.

My mother, who suffers from chronic asthma, was in a dire situation because we couldn’t find her medications.

She ran out of the medicine that helps her breathe, and she started having painful attacks.

This is one of the many types of medicine that you use, but there is none of it because it has run out

The smoke from the fire we used for cooking and the terrible smell from the lack of sanitation in the school made her condition worse.

My little sister Sham is also suffering from skin rashes due to the unsanitary conditions, and she has diarrhea and vomiting because the drinking water is contaminated.

We are living in inhumane conditions, and we don’t even have the clothes we need to survive the coming winter.🥶(🧥❌)

My brother Mohamed and I carry a heavy burden— we fetch water from faraway places, and we search for food to ease our hunger.

Even the food that reaches us in the school from charity kitchens is barely edible due to poor cooking.🤢

This is our life… fear, hunger, cold, and bombing. 💔

We live in constant terror and uncertainty. 😔💔

URGENT ACTION REQUIRED: HELP HOUSE A FAMILY IN GAZA

A heavy rain hit Deir al-Balah during the night. The Abu Alwan family’s tent on the beach never stood a chance. Part of the roof collapsed, drenching the Alwan family. What portion of their few belongings that were not destroyed have been completely inundated with cold, dirty water. They are now completely homeless, again.

Mohammed is sick due to an infected tooth, Samar remains in extreme pain, and Saba is still very sick. They have lost nearly everything, and don't even have their health to be grateful for. Gathering what remains of their lives and fleeing the flooded area is exhausting, as both Mohammed and Saba continue to suffer from vomiting.

Mohammed has managed to find a space to rent so that the family can have a roof over their heads. He has collected about half of the cost of the rental, but the family needs your help to raise the other half.

We hope to raise about $500 in the next 12 hours. That means about $42 per hour. If 1 person donates $42 (or 2 people donate $21) every hour, the goal will be met.

This goal is attainable, and if we achieve it, it will have an enormous positive impact on the lives of five innocent people, including three small children.

fidaa is a 29 year old woman from gaza with two very young children, muhammed and sila, one of whom was born during the war. her home was destroyed and she’s been displaced many times, and is currently separated from the rest of her family- her husband, her many siblings, and her parents. i can only imagine how nerve-wracking this is.

she’s doing her best to take care of her children by herself, despite facing hunger, thirst, widespread disease, and the threat of death. the other day, there was intense bombing near her and another family close to her was killed. life in gaza right now is hell and she told me they feel like they are just waiting for their turn to die.

fidaa and i talk often, and i feel lucky to know her. she’s an incredibly strong person, she travels long distances to find limited supplies for her kids and helps her siblings raise money even though shes separated from them.

but she needs help. the situation in gaza is so bad right now, the idf is preventing aid from entering and the food, water, and medicine available are extremely expensive. please share and donate to help her and her children survive and eventually leave gaza

Hey guys. I need some serious cooperation right now. I spoke with Mahmoud Qassas' wife and they have a plan to get her, him, the kids, all out of Ghazzah for his treatment. They need 8000 USD. As you may know, he currently has shrapnel lodged in the back of his brain and it's causing severe brain damage. Another issue I don't think has been mentioned prior on his account is they're currently separated. He was injured while traveling to another part of Ghazzah, far away from his wife and kids and other relatives. They need a way to get to him, to then go to the border together, to then get out of Ghazzah. They currently have a deal with the border authorities that will allow them all to go through together after paying 8000$. I'm really hoping this works but knowing the disgusting border authorities, there is no guarantee they will all be able to travel together. If we get them to 8000$ I will keep you guys posted on if they manage to evacuate or not. Please do not hesitate to help!!!! This is an extremely time-sensitive situation and I'm worried I might lose my good friend Mahmoud.

Apparently Gofundme had shut down the campaign for The Sameer Project and has been withholding their funds for weeks, informing the team that their fundraising project is "prohibited".

This is devastating because the funds are meant to support hundreds if not thousands of families in Gaza with mainly providing tents but also food, formula and water.

Gofundme still holds on to $250,000 that are crucial to allow the Sameer team to continue their humanitarian work in the ground in Gaza.

Hossam lost all his family members. Hossam was injured and was unable to say goodbye to his family, which was a shock to him. He woke up to the news of the loss of his entire family without saying goodbye and giving them a last look. Can you imagine how difficult this is and life does not stop here? He became responsible for his nephews. They are alone, living in a tent, and lacking all means of life.
