Andrew Minyard connoisseur / Aftg blog / she- they / 🐈

Aaron studying so hard for his tests, labs, including the MCAT, and Andrew subtly dropping off snacks so Aaron can recharge since he rarely leaves his desk or room unless for exy practice.

If Aaron is so busy studying that he forgets to properly take care of himself, Andrew sends in Neil to annoy the shit out of Aaron so his twin is forced to take a break by chasing a smug looking Neil that never passes up the chance to have free reign of taunting Aaron.

The nights before Aaron has to take a big exam, Andrew actually threatens everyone to either be quiet, go to bed early, or vacant the premises so Aaron can sleep. Aaron has no idea Andrew does all that and just thinks it's convenient that he can get a full 8 hrs before taking his exam.

one of the standout things from tsc and tgr that I’m still thinking about is just everyone highlighting just how Unsettling Neil Josten actually is… Jeremy being unnerved by Neil’s smile, Jean noting the ice in Neil’s stare… incredible, amazing, give me more

I think Kevin and Jean should be forced to go on a buddy-cop style road trip- but the kind where they got stranded somewhere and have to find their way back and it gives them plenty of time to hash out everything and by hash out I mean that they beat each other up at one point and its a turning point in their relationship

Okay, I might be pulling this out of my ass but since that finals match was in Evermore that means the foxes should have been wearing their white away jerseys. Which means: the final match was a game of chess.

Not only are they wearing white, but they have first serve (Dan won the coin toss), and near the end the Foxes' king (Neil, because this is a battle between Riko and Neil) changes positions with the tower (Matt, a defenseman that towers over most people) creating the illusion of a castling.

And right there at the end, Riko attempts to kill Neil because they're in front of each other, but that's not how kings work. In the time it takes him to take that step, Andrew closes the gap and strikes. Check mate.

katelyn’s friends deserve the nobel peace prize fr. like they have to hate him. like never hangs w her until his identical twin brother goes to rehab. has killed someone. (justified but still) goes to the club on the dance floor like almost every week. d1 athlete. BLOND.

i KNOW the Minyard-Josten rivalry is popular and i get the appeal, truly i do. but let's be honest with ourselves

they know. everyone knows.

jeremy calling niel to ask him to convince kevin to stop night practices while being so tired and ovexerting himself to the point he canonically is known to fall asleep while driving really tells us everything about him doesn't it

The Kings men, chapter four

Okay i'm literally shaking posting this, i've been working on it for days i lost all objectivity about it.

Someone requested this scene when I asked for recommendations on an older post, so this is tkm chapter four:

"Andrew sprawled on the couch in the lounge while Kevin went ahead to change out. Neil hesitated, changed his mind and started after Kevin, and changed his mind again. He stood behind the couch, folding his arms across the back of it, and peered down at Andrew. Andrew had one arm folded under his head and the other draped over his eyes to block the light. 'One of these days you might as well practice with us,' Neil said."

This scene is so long I had to cut some parts (including the incredible "You let us run ourselves into the ground and clean up behind us. You play the game like you play life. That's why you're so good at it.").

Not to mention Andrew's height fear, one of my all-time favorite aftg quotes ("When you said you were afraid of heights, you were joking, right?" "Andrew, you can't be. What were you doing on the roof?" "Feeling." -tkm ch.5).

Update: I cut the (too long) comic into smaller images so that you can open it and have a better quality, hope it works!

Always a reblog

reading tsc series is really funny because we know that neil makes problems and is argumentative but he kinda explains why and it reads as rather rational or at least not out of nowhere

then we get jeremy and jeans pov and yeah neil just starts shit constantly

thinking about andrew loving making neil his favorite breakfast and intricately and nicely plating it and everything and sitting down to eat with him and its so domestic and sweet. meanwhile kevin is across the table eating a bowl of cereal with a ladel cause andrew didnt want to give him a spoon

Sorry but I'm never going to get over Kevin chewing out the Ravens, revealing that Wymack is his dad, and dropping the "I've never been skiing" bomb on live television in the same interview, and then going "we're all going to die" while hunched over a sink the second he walked off stage. Absolutely hilarious.
