hey when you make posts, i just want you to know, thou/thee/thy/thine/ye are like he/you(object)/your/yours/you(subject) okay? "thou art wearing shoes," "i will wear shoes for thee," okay?

you say thine if the next word starts with a vowel and thy if the next word starts with a consonant and they both mean "your" so "thine own shoes," "thy shoes," okay?

and ye means you and refers to the subject of a sentence, "ye members of the brotherhood of shoes," okay? you need this information to create better knight yaoi. i'm personally more interested in nun yuri but we are a community

Okay so this one is a weird one because. I made some Decisions(tm) about Laurence's Deal in my modern ren fair au, you know? Which I then described to a friend as "Through Shenanigans Known Possible Only For Will Laurence" for how he, a British Olympic Athlete, came by Temeraire, a young Chinese boy. And then I started thinking about it too hard and. Well. Here we are. Accidental baby acquisition ahoy!

It was astonishing, really, how quickly his priorities could shift. Two days ago, he had won a bronze medal at the Olympics. And now his coach was yelling at him on the phone, demanding to know what he meant by withdrawing, as if the word had more than one meaning in circumstances like this. โ€œI am truly sorry,โ€ he kept saying, over and over, staring at the toddler he was holding against his hip, awkward but secure, โ€œI cannot make it to compete today, I have a- a family emergency that I must handle, I have to withdraw-โ€ โ€œLaurence, there is 19 hours until you are due to win a bronze or silver medal for England, it cannot be anything so pressing-!โ€ โ€œIt can be,โ€ he heard in his own voice, stunned and distant, but his own nonetheless, โ€œIt is. I am sorry. I must.โ€ He hung up before he could be drawn back into the argument and shifted the baby, who had begun to make some noises of displeasure, into a different position- gingerly, because it had been some years since heโ€™d been handed his brother Georgeโ€™s first child to hold for a handful of minutes- to hopefully keep the baby (who really needed a name, even a temporary one, so that Will could call him something other than the baby in his head) from growing truly distressed. โ€œI must beg your pardon,โ€ he said, in an attempt to be soothing, โ€œI did not mean to alarm you; it is nothing to concern yourself withโ€ฆโ€

What the media won't show

Itโ€™s actually pretty nuts how there is no real mass media coverage of the protests that are happening all over the US. It demonstrates fairly conclusively that the unlawful activities at the White House arenโ€™t just limited to Trump. Thereโ€™s a lot of wealthy people in powerful positions in the US and around the world helping to support the dismantling of the US federal government.

Hey everyone, I know it's going to be a busy day for a lot of people, but Google enrolled everyone over 18 into their AI program automatically.

If you have a google account, first go to gemini.google.com/extensions and turn everything off.

Then you need to go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini and turn off all Gemini activity tracking. You do have to do them in that order to make sure it works.

Honestly, I'm not sure how long this will last, but this should keep Gemini off your projects for a bit.

I saw this over on bluesky and figured it would be good to spread on here. It only takes a few minutes to do.

Writers: It's asking to read your Google Docs and be able to 'summarize' things from them and such things. I just turned all mine off.

Because this isn't mentioned above, also go to google.com/drive/settings and turn off all the annoying bits that interface directly with docs there.

This is all in the "privacy" tab of your settings. How fun that everything is hidden two layers deep. ๐Ÿ™„ This DOESN'T get rid of the stupid little star constantly asking you to use it, unfortunately, but that's what the picker in ublock is for. ๐Ÿ˜‰

More detail instructions for OP's post for those who are confused. This is done from the browser on my laptop, I don't know what they look like on phones.

When you click the first link gemini.google.com/extensions, you need to click on the setting icon at the bottom, then choose "Extension", like this:

Scroll down a bit, you will see the options, turn them all off.

Then, you click on the second link myactivity.google.com/product/gemini, you'll see it tells you that it's already "turn off". NO! IT'S NOT! You have to click on that "Turn off" option, it'll drop down a menu like this:

Turn that thing off. Until that button shows you have to click to turn it back on like this:

And then, click on the delete button down there too, even if it says there's nothing to delete, just do it as a caution.

After you's done with those two. You go to your Drive, find the Setting button.

Click on the "Privacy" tab, choose the button "Manage Workspace smart feature setting"

Tick both of those off, then click Save. Or if you still want to use Google AI assistant for some reasons, please read the fine lines very very carefully.

Only then, you can feel safe enough with this force AI assistant bullshit. FOR NOW ๐Ÿคก All these steps still can't get rid of that Gemini blinkblink icon though >:(((((

Repeat for every one of your google accounts ๐Ÿ’€

last night i dreamt tumblr added like a billion buttons to the mobile app so instead of this

we got this

and everyone just rolled with it but sometimes the wide naruto got too wide and blocked off all the other buttons and people would just post "got naruto'd again :/" and the only way to reset him was to log out and log back in
