why does this have 32k notes? it’s just a picture of a knife in a ranch bottle, is there some unspoken joke that 32 thousand people share? what is going on here, i dont get it. it’s just a fucking picture of a knife in a ranch bottle. is there some spiritual connection people have to this picture? is there some ominous and mystical reasoning that this has 32 thousand notes? do people reblog this because it makes them look like some indie blogger? or is there just something funny to this? someone please explain

I usually try to avoid politics on here because I need an escape from it, but I am just so lost right now. It is so horrifying to watch your entire field get gutted in a span of a month right before you graduate. When I chose my major, it had really good job prospects. Now, there is nothing. The companies aren't hiring, and universities are rescinding PhD offers because of the idiots in charge right now. I genuinely do not know what to do anymore. My field is just gone and I am about to graduate.

#us politics#tw vent#its just incredibly frustrating#there are so many more important things to be angry about#but this just hurts sometimes

Not that anyone really cares, but I think I need to log off from here for a few days. My mental health has been in a very fragile state lately, and I think some time away from the internet is necessary for me to get myself to a place where I can get through the rest of this semester.

I feel like if humans swallowed rocks like birds do to help grind up food we'd have so much fun with it.

Can just imagine all the girlies on tiktok going "I know this is a bit controversial but I honestly love using limestone as a gastrolith. Not only can you readily forage it but they are just so pretty when smoothed out after regurgitating them"

and then all the comments would be like " girl 😭 😭 calcite dissolves in stomach acid!! Just use quartz if you want a pretty gastrolith like 💀"

#i have an allergy#its not necessarily that they dont respect it#i think its more that some people dont realize how serious food allergies can be#and thats fine for the most part#it is my responsibility to avoid what im allergic to#but it is a problem when my college dining hall doesnt take it seriously because thats literally the only place i can eat
