Hello, I'm Wasim from Gaza, in Al-Mawasi specifically... My family and I were displaced from Rafah after hardship, bombing, displacement, and hunger.😭😔
Now we have been away from our city and our beautiful home for 9 months. We have lost our house that my father built stone by stone and he worked 24/7 to build this house. But the occupation destroyed it, and no house remained in my beautiful city remained intact.😭💔💔
We are now living in a tent or semi-tent, which does not protect us from the cold of winter or the rain. Our lives are very difficult.😔😭
Thanks to your donations, we have been able to buy food and flour, and now I am asking you for help to buy a tent that will protect us from the cold of winter. We do not know what it means to sleep because of the extreme cold.🥶
a whole bunch of gazan mutual aid projects and nonprofits. if the decision of which individual fundraiser to give to feels too daunting, or if you just want to help as many people as possible in one go, these are great initiatives to support.
certainly this is not an exhaustive list, so please feel free to add on other projects or organizations that i didn't include. and as always, please take the time to donate if you can and share. it truly makes all the difference.
Hello, My name is Mosab Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.
The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.
We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.
💔 Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income. 🍞 Basic Needs: Food and water are becoming harder to afford with rising prices and scarce resources. 📚 Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive. 😢 Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.
I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $5 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
Your kindness, no matter how small, is something we’ll never forget.
Your support is not about changing our entire situation—it’s about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you can’t donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.
Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.
With all our gratitude, Mosab Elderawi and Family ❤️

I am Nevin Al-Sir, I live in Gaza, I am 27 years old, I used to work as an accountant in an accounting firm, I am married and have a child, I was also pregnant during the war, the war on Gaza, and when the evacuation order came from our area in Gaza, we fled through the corridor that the occupation lied to us about and the safe corridor was a disaster. We walked on foot, the longest distance I have ever walked in my life. I was displaced to a tent with the rest of my family, and it was very difficult, tiring and exhausting. Every time there was an evacuation in the southern areas, I was forced to evacuate again to a worse tent. Then I gave birth to my child in a field hospital because the hospitals were out of service. I gave birth to my son in the winter, the cold and the war together, which did not destroy my house and my tent. Now we live in a tent, me, my mother, my father, my husband, my brothers, my sisters and their children, and I need your support to try to survive.

Giving a review to the note taking app I used during the pandemic: REMNOTE
During the pandemic, I came across this note taking app/ software: Remnote.
I tried it because the two features I've been looking for (for note taking and flashcards) is there all in one.
I was using the free version so there are features that are limited which was a bummer. I think I only used it for a year because I could not take more notes during my final year.
Pros: Minimalistic, kind of easy to navigate, flashcards, help support is real active, you can now use other people's documents online, good for offline too as long as your work is up to date.
Cons: Note taking is time consuming, limited features (for free version), some functions can be confusing when note taking/ you may be looking for a specific function and you don't know how to apply it.
Things I did when I was studying for the boards:
My take
Interleaving actually helped because instead of reading only one subject for days, I have read most of the subjects even if I was not able to finish them all I have covered a lot of the topics.
The mind maps saves a lot of time because it's already a summary of the subjects. If you are a visual learner, I think mind mapping is a good way for you to actually recall because you made it yourself. Like I said, I was not able to finish reading all the subjects, so I also didn't finish mind mapping. I also unfortunately deleted my mind maps ): if only I could share it.
Sharing my "ideal" study schedule weeks before the MTLE March 2024 (Board Exam)
Of course this didn't happen/ there were some adjustments made 😅
Also I'm not sure what I was doing. I might go on a little bit of more detail about the schedule on the NEXT POST.

INTERLEAVING

Videos that help me to understand revision and other study methods:
Wait are we called mammals after mammary glands? Are mammals named after tits???
ARE WE THE BOOBS CLASS?
We are. And we also named our galaxy after boob juice. Twice.
"milky way" is obviously milk, but the hidden part is that "galaxy" comes from the Greek γάλα (gála), meaning "milk".
It's the tit-goo path tit-goo-thing. We are very, very breast focused as a species.
Eukaryote (good-kernels) as opposed to prokaryotes(before-kernels). We are the Domain of Fortunate Cellular Nuclei.
Animalia (of the anima.) we are in the Kingdom of the Breathing, or the Air-Souled.
Of the Phylum (tribe or clan) Chordata (having a string). We are the Clan of the String, referencing the spinal cord.
Class Mammalia, of course. the division of the titties.
Order Primate, which is a bit stuck-up, but I suppose the people doing the naming get to pick. Primate is of course primary, or First/Highest. Interestingly, this is in the sense of it being a job; a primate is a bishop of Christianity. This is reflected in the medieval Scala Naturae, where “primate” is an office held by the “natural” or divinely appointed top being in each tier of existence. Seraphim are the primate angels; humans are the primate people; lions are the primate animals; oak trees are the primate plants; and diamonds are the primate minerals. Translating the intent here, we are the Order of Ordained Authority, which we share with other natural bosses such as lemurs.
Depending how you want to do this, we are also suborder Haplorhini, the dry-nosed. This is separated from wet-nosed apes.
After this we land in the repetition of Homina-homina-homina-homina where there are several classes that drill down ever further, all of them rooted in “hominid.” Everyone knows homo is “man, human” but the root of why it’s “man” is because it is first “earth”. Human means “earthling”, and is rooted in “not-divine.” We are the family, subfamily, tribe and genus of earthlings.
By the time you get to species we are very lonely indeed, with only one species in our genus. This is actually a terrifically lonely place, and in this we are “sapiens.” This doesn’t mean just “wise” but “being wise,” which is more of a duty than a descriptor.
When you put it in context: Domain of Fortunate Nuclei, Kingdom of the Air-Souled, Clan of the String, Class of Milky Boobs, Order of the Bosses, Family of Earthlings, Tribe of Earthlings, People of Earth, Earthlings, Thinking Earthlings.
The point of taxonomy does seem to be making oneself a box that excludes all others in order to feel properly lonely and alone in it; one’s place in the world defined until one is alone. however, zooming out a bit, it does make for some stirring company.
me seeing "clan of the string" and feeling suddenly Very Extremely Connected to everything with vertebrae:
Had a Thanksgiving Mass and Luncheon event from my review center.
My usual group of acquaintances didn't come! I thought that they would because we were talking about it last time. I asked one of them if they were already at the designated place and they said, "I thought no one would come so, I didn't go. It's a shame I didn't ask you earlier! I thought I'd be alone."
I understand the situation and left it at that. I still attended the event accepting that I'll be with people I'm not fully acquainted.
I went in and people are still at the lounge area. There's another group of acquaintances I saw that i'm not really close with BUT the most extroverted of them all saw me, waved, got me a chair and let me sit beside them!
I know most of the extrovert's friend group, they were my classmates from previous years/ internship.
When we were able to sit inside the venue, of course I let the extrovert's friend group first. The extrovert walked beside me and told me to join them. I don't want to break their friend group so, I asked if, "Is it ok for me to join you?." The extrovert of course, happily agreed.
The extrovert has a lot of friends/acquaintances but more closely to 2 friends within the group. I'm acquainted to the other one because of internship and i was introduced to the other one by the extrovert at the beginning of the review.
Since they were a lot, we had to use 2 different tables. I'm glad the 3 of them (extrovert and their close friends) sat with me. So, the 4 of us were on a different table while the rest is at the table behind us.
-----------
The 3 were talking about visiting the place of extrovert after the event because they had nothing better to do.
The extrovert also invited me to go but I declined a lot of times. My excuse is that I don't have the money to travel but the extrovert said it's no problem cause we will only be staying at their house.
Well, I actually wanted to go but I feel kind of out of place because we all are not that close after all even if they were friendly enough to have me included. I think I'll make the atmosphere awkward if I went.
The other friend even offered to drop me off the terminal nearest to my house when we'll be heading back. I politely declined since I won't be going.
After the event, I thanked the extrovert for inviting me but I wouldn't be going. I bid them bye-bye and to have a safe trip.
