For those of you that may have just finished watching Cory Booker’s record-breaking senate speech and are inspired to “get in good trouble”, you have a great opportunity for it this Saturday!
On April 5th, numerous advocacy groups are banding together into one nation-wide rally that will be held in major cities all over the country - you can easily find a participating location here!
I’ll be volunteering as a safety captain at my own local rally, and I encourage all of you to go out there too and get in some good trouble as well!
for the record when I say a lot of major cities I mean a LOT of major cities :P
And a damn lot of rather minor cities also.

Bro, I never said it had to be a bad effect. We don’t have to immediately be perfect either, bro, sometimes doing what you can is what you can, and its way better than nothing. Bro what do you mean humans are a plague. You’re starting to sound a bit like an ecofascist, bro… Bro?
Bro, what happened? Every item in your home doesn't need to be 100% zero waste and have had no negative impact on anything ever. Yeah, bro, if you ran out of your fair trade vegan, cruelty free, plastic free packaging, pesticide free toothpaste pellets, you're allowed to buy regular toothpaste until you can get the other kind. Don't worry, man, it's okay that you can't get certain necessities without plastic. Bro, you are not your own personal plague on the earth.
Don't stress. You can't walk and leave absolutely no trace. Even if you dont leave or take anything, your feet will leave prints in the dirt and tracks in the snow. And that's ok. Its reduse, reuse, recycle. Eliminate is too big of a task to take on by yourself every day.
#I genuinely needed to hear this#I’m a victim of Feeling Guilty About Anything disease#and I always feel so terrible about buying single use plastic items like snacks#it’s hard to reconcile my buying with also trying to be environmentally conscious#so it’s nice to have the reminder that you can’t be perfect#thank you :)

i’m so annoyed at the state of online shopping right now. i found an adorable plush shrike that i want soooo bad, but the original is from aliexpress, and every other site is just dropshipping it from there. i don’t want to buy anything from aliexpress because i have no idea how the work force making the plush is treated. i literally cannot find any other shrike plushie that isn’t from aliexpress -_-

fun new tumblr mobile bug! if i have someone else’s blog pulled up, and i exit to my home screen, and then reopen the app (without “dismissing” it), it closes that blog. sometimes i find posts i want to read in like an hour or so, and so i pull them up and leave the app open. now, when i come back to read it, i am shunted back onto the dashboard. this is a working app
i should also note that it sends me to the top of my dashboard. and this bug happens regardless if i’ve left the app for 3 minutes or an hour
