Well that descended into Hell

I'm Cami! He/Him. Fantasy author. Very queer.

Hm. Sad but also good to acknowledge that with this mood right now, buying things won't make me feel better. This is sad because I don't feel better, but good because now I won't buy more things (instead of saving my money as I should)

You need to draw and make art or else all the images will stay in your head and you'll get sick

sometimes im like "wow holy shit im being really fucking annoying. i should stop talking" and then i pull out my magic 8 ball and it says "youve always been annoying and your friends chose to talk you anyways. youll be fine" and im like wow thanks magic 8 ball. and then the ogre attacks me

moment of unspeakable beauty today when one of my coworkers called another coworker "judas" for not splitting a can of white monster with her, and i got to watch the guy who sits next to me open a new google tab, type in "jeudis," and say quietly to himself "french thursday...?"

god people on instagram will really be like "check out these Weird Girl Books For Weird Girls πŸ€ͺ😜" and then the books in question are just like. Standard magical realism. Book in which most of the weirdness is meant to signify shallowness or immaturity. Book that's really not as weird as you're making it out to be. Book that's really not that weird. Book that's really not that weird. Book with an angry gender conforming white girl. Book where the mc just happens to be autistic. Horror novel about trauma and social pressures that's no more weird than the average horror novel. Satire about the shallowness of aestheticism. Another autistic mc. Another gender conforming angry white girl. Book that's really not that weird.

Like it's not even that the books they list are bad. A fair amount of them that I've read are actually good books, even the ones that "really aren't that weird". It's just like. Man you're misrepresenting and in some cases completely misunderstanding these books in the service of some manufactured Weird Girl TM aesthetic

"if tumblr dies you can find me on bluesky" "if tumblr dies you can find me on Instagram" if tumblr dies you cannot find me. It's over. I'm free.
