The pen is mightier than the sword

I'm Shades. 20+ F I write very inconsistently

Random thought, but if, in some alternate timeline or the distant future or whatever, if Djeeta and Seofon were to have kids, the first one would be a daughter and they'd name her Mercy.

After a lot of back and forth and considering sword-adjacent names or naming her after a star constellation or something, this is what Djeeta settles on and digs her heels in. As a fun reminder of the world they're trying to create and the means by which to do so.

At least Belial is a good boy

Belial is always eager and willing and cooperates so happily! Honestly a joy to have in class. Meanwhile the second I try to shine a light in the general direction of Sieten't, he hisses like a feral cat and ducks away.

One of my favorite tropes is character with a nasty toxic personality who tries very hard to do the right thing anyway

I like my protagonists sad, tired, bitter, fully convinced they will never get the recognition they deserve, but they still gotta get up in the morning and be a good person

it is so funny to me how i started learning english on my own age 10 because the manga i was reading was turning so so so bad i went to fan content to cope with how shit it was. and 15 years later this pays off as my boss tells me i'm an essential asset in the team as the only fluent english-speaker.

We're receiving visions with this one, boys

I haven't really gotten any writing done despite meaning to, because I've been getting swept up in forcing Sandy and Lucio to hangout (Zooey is just happy to be included), but I received a vision while making dinner.

I may have mentioned before that I struggle with writing Sieten't because he Doesn't Want To Be Perceived (unlike Belial who gave me a bunch of visions earlier today), but just now I got a pretty good luck.

It's something that doesn't fit into any of my current WIPs, so I guess we're starting another one.

If you have a plot bunny or stray fic scene stuck in your head that won't go away-

but you don't have the energy or inspiration to flesh it out into a full fic (yet, or potentially ever)-

I highly, HIGHLY recommend boiling it down into nothing but the absolute essential elements of the idea, writing it as a drabble (exactly 100 words) or a ficlet (generally under 1000 words) and posting it like that.

This will accomplish one of two things:

Either it will get it out of your head enough that you can stop thinking about it, or starting writing it and the reaction to it will give you the burst of energy or inspiration to flesh it out.

I'm trying to be more inclusive???? lmao

My brain and I are trying to be more inclusive with each other, yes.

Because at the end of the day, it's still me who needs to do the dishes.
