when i say i like hiking, i don’t mean “eight mile backpacking trip with special gear and an emergency beacon” sort of hiking, i mean a three mile loop to go look at pretty things and then a huge brunch after.

this is in no way a slam on hardcore hiking, it’s very fun, but i mostly just need to lower people’s expectations when i say hiking is a hobby of mine

"No no, that's ranger hiking. I like hobbit hiking."

Long Walks Georgs were outliers adn should not have been counted

my life with ADHD

This is very true and a great post.

But low key makes me think about how people with adhd have been raised their whole lives to value a day based on what they accomplished vs what they experienced

I think your point is excellent. But also consider:

That list might say things like “Paint a picture. Go birdwatching. Finish that great novel I started reading. Call my grandma. Learn to bake a cake. Visit my sister. Play piano.”

For me at least, the good/fun things are harder without meds too. I can have the best intentions, but following through is hard.

This addition is so important.

Oh boy. My favorite concept: biology.

Now I'm not professional nor have degrees(one day that will change hopefully). So I could be off on some of it. But I like studying from sources based around science and scientific research.

Anyways! Onto the post!

Mammals are the only animals I know of where males are almost always bigger on average. So humans, tigers, badgers, deer etc. and that's only average as mammalian females can definitely be bigger than males.

Mammals only make up part of the life tree. Most birds, reptiles, fish, & arthropods (lobsters, Beetles, millipedes etc) the females are bigger primarily cause they lay clutches of eggs.

Some exceptions exist. For instance, many species of lizards while females tend to be bigger for most, there's still plenty of species where the males are larger. Crocodiles are also like this.

One of my favorite hobbies is thinking about the fucked up implications of this fantasy world map my parents got me for christmas

[Image ID: photo of a map. On the left side of the map is Middle Earth, with the Shire and Mordor labeled. To the direct right of Mordor is Whoville.]

I FOUND THE FULL ONE AND ITS SO MUCH MORE CHAOTIC.

HYRULE SHOOK ME TO MY CORE!

THIS WORD HAS TWO KINGDOMS RULES BY A BEING IN A TOWER!

The existence of Oz and Neverland is wild too. Does this mean that there is a REAL Earth outside of this? Could Wendy hang out in Westeros?

This will never NOT be funny

I’m so glad this is on tumblr

My favourite thing about this is, he didn’t even have to call him ‘Captain’ he could have used the screen-name but he was SO MARRIED TO THE IMMERSION that he DID.

Passenger: CAPTAIIIIN!!!

Captain: y-yeah?

Passenger: LOOOOOOOK!

Fun fact, the developers of this game loved this video so much that they made it an official advertisement of the game
