Question, what would happen if he accidentally filled a section of his spine with the wrong color? Would it throw his emotions out of wack??
Yes and no!
The vials automatically administer the magic to his body as needed. So if a vial is accidentally refilled with wrong color, all he'd need to do is to swap the corresponsive plug color to that vial so that the plug can send a magic signal to administer the needed emotion.
If he'd refill all the vials with one emotion only, you'd only get him to react with that emotion. Otherwise he wouldn't emote.
Now if he'd mix the magics on accident in one or more of the vials, he'd get a manic episodes coming. He'd get mixed signals on how to act as the plug would administer the dosage but also get through the other emotion that was mixed in.
Now if you'd swap the plugs around but not mix the magics, he'd get mixed emotions again! Like, his signal is "happy" but suddenly he acts "angry". So on and so forth.
So it depends! :)
