Hi! I'm Diana and I'm a dork. I make art and musicals. Genderqueer/30s/she&they pronouns. Let's be friends! linktree.com/dianapocalypse

Hello!! I very rarely use my Tumblr to actually talk about my work, but I figured it was time to make a new pinned post and maybe do a little self plugging.

WHO THE HECK IS DIANAPOCALYPSE?

A few of those things include...

Nice to meet you! Hit me up if you want to make nerdy stuff together that we will never see a cent from!

James Somerton is working as a wedding photographer with a plagiarized portfolio, btw

YoutubeDrama thread where this came out.

He truly seems incapable of not passing off others work as his own.

Yโ€™all all five of his five star reviews were posted the same day

Saw someone say on the Reddit thread that the stolen photos were also all posted the same day, but Iโ€™m having trouble pulling those up

What I did want to do was check the very lengthy pitch for this profile through one of those โ€˜is it AIโ€™ things and

This man literally did zero work building this profile. And as far as I understand, grifters actually donโ€™t last that long in the wedding business. I really hope no one hires him without doing their due diligence.

EDIT: here is the actual page as it is now, Reddit was using an archive and several people have already started (rightfully) review bombing him-

first of all, i feel like there should maybe be a distinction drawn between using stock photos and plagiarizing/stealing. it's shitty to try to pass off stock photos as your own work, and he probably should be clearer about the fact that he didn't take them (he doesn't really claim they're his on the page, i think they're mostly just meant to be examples of the type of work he's offering, although it's definitely a bit misleading), but that's...kind of what stock photos are for, or at least how they're often used. like, we don't have any evidence he's using them without permission.

we also don't have any evidence that he doesn't actually provide the services offered here with the degree of competence alleged. he doesn't even really claim he took those photos on the website. he isn't looking to have a platform again. the five fake reviews are obviously lame, but like. is this really the same scale as his previous transgressions?

idk i guess i'm just wondering, at what point is this less about the harm this man is causing and more about us getting to dunk on him one more time?

This is about as unrelated as it gets, but I was once on a cooking competition show as background. I had a prep list, and while the contestants were front-stage, I was in the back of the shot, doing the prep list, looking chef-y, alongside some other BG. The prep list was double-duty, it was also making stuff for the contestants to use later, but our main job was just to make the kitchen look busier. I imagine that in most shots I was in, I was at best an out-of-focus blur behind the main shot. So at the beginning, the contestants are showing off their knife skills and making little fruit sculptures or whatever, IDGAF, and they were being interviewed at the same time. "What does cooking mean to you?" and that kind of stuff. I . . . was not supposed to be interviewed. I was BG. The interviewer apparently, did not know who was a contestant and who was BG, so they came over to me. And after all of these eloquent long-winded philosophy-and-dream guided answers, they come to me, and go "What is cooking?" And me, deep in focus on looking professional and getting the prep list done and not listening to the interviews, aware that I'm not supposed to talk or be talked to (I'm not paid for speaking lines!), but also aware I am the focus right now, but also aware that they will cut this out of the televised part and I can relax and shrug him off, but also suddenly aware there's still a live audience and I can't just shrug him off, but also confused because I didn't realize he was fishing for a deep philosophical answer: "Cooking is making food". Well. I got a laugh out of the live audience, and they must have decided to keep the line because my pay was upgraded from "SSE" (Special Skills Extra) rates to "Speaking" rates.

This is what happens to the economy without wokeness. Until my pronouns are respected, I will destroy another 3% of the American GDP. #darkwoke

Protests in Boston, Massachusetts

05 April 2025

Stand Up and Speak Out!!!

We Are Stronger Together!!!

One Diverse Nation, Undivided We Stand!!!

There was a grassroots-organized โ€œNo Kings On Presidentโ€™s Dayโ€ protest in Boston last Monday, and Iโ€™ve been meaning to post pictures I took of my favorite signs! Here they are:

and the one I made, which tore in the intense winds as soon as I unrolled it, which led to me running down a side street, borrowing a stapler from the nice girl at the Planet Fitness front counter, and doing some emergency poster surgery before running back to the crowd. Picture is pre-injury:

Will these protests have any sort of meaningful political impact? I hope so, but more important to me is the psychological effect on the average personโ€” normal people showing up to protest, and more normal people passing by and seeing the marches and crowds, hearing the chants, seeing the handmade signs. Most Americans live so much of our political lives in isolation, doomscrolling on social media and Posting, and I know that when I scroll and post too much for too long, I feel shriveled and hopeless. Being out in the freezing cold in the midst of a shouting, marching crowd feels electrifying and hopeful, and very human and powerful.

Great turnout. I won't post people's faces, but I zoomed in on a few signs.

As well as my own

Stand up. Fight back.

Hands Off Rally in Albany, NY. Good size crowd in spite of the rain and cold

anti-trump protests ranging from germany, france, london, to washington dc in protest against trump. power to the people.
