OCs are so fun and I think its awesome that even people who don't plan to publish a story or draw that well will have them. Its just good for your to have toys in your brain to play with.
Like I'm a commission artist and I've had the pleasure to see so many OC reference sheets and written descriptions/lore blurbs over the years. Thanks for sharing your toys with me. I really like them.
