Charlastor Week, Day 5: Whiskey Drinking Night

Okay, so this is a little late, but only because I got REALLY committed to the concept! I only finished it like a minute ago.

This fanart was inspired by @whamgram’s AMAZING fic Under My Skin. I highly recommend it to any Charlastor fan— you will not be disappointed! 🖤❤️

“Hold onto this moment, Jack. Hold onto this happy, pleasant feeling. Because you’re gonna need it to stay sane after I show you what’s next.”

I’ve been REALLY obsessed with Tales From the Gas Station by Jack Townsend lately, and this is the result! I started this in December, and finished it just before the art I posted for Hazbin Ships Week. Enjoy! :)

It’s Day 3 of Hazbin Ships Week!

Today’s prompt is: Adversity; a conflict or challenge they face together!

I chose to adapt a scene from Under My Skin, an AMAZING piece of fan-fiction by @whamgram

Words can’t express how much I adore her take on Charlie and Alastor’s relationship! I don’t want to spoil anything for people who haven’t reached this point of Under My Skin, but it’s quite possibly one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful moments of ANY fic I’ve ever read.

I call this Under the Willow.

As has been my pattern this week, this one is also unfinished! 🤣

I tried my best to get it done by today, but I had an unexpected deadline for something else. I’ll definitely be finishing this one, though— and I’ll post the finished version as soon as I do!

It’s day 2 of Hazbin Ships Week!

The prompt: A Tender or Spicy Moment. I chose to do a bit of both! This is a scene from The Riddle of Magic by @rubyfoxfyre! I love how she depicts these two in her fic, so if you haven’t read it yet, check it out!

Today’s sketch is also unfinished. I was waffling between two images for this prompt, and decided to go back to the drawing board (haha) super late last night. I may revisit it later, but I also have two super sickly sweet sketches inspired by The Riddle of Magic that I may work on instead!

Hello all!!

It’s been a long winter, but I peeked my head out just in time to participate in the first Hazbin Shipping Week of 2025!

I plan to do 4 drawings for this challenge, and all of them are inspired by the amazing, funny, or tragic Charlastor fanfiction I’ve read over the last year!

The prompt for Day 1 is First Meeting. I didn’t want to readapt the door-slamming scene from the pilot, so I chose to do some fan-art of Ventassa’s amazing fanfic, The Labyrinth! I spent too much time on an upcoming day’s piece, so I didn’t quite finish this one— but there’s a lot I want to do with this concept in the future! I haven’t finished The Labyrinth yet, but what I have read of it, I love— so this piece of art is made with lots of love!

I’m not sure if Ventassa has a Tumblr account, but I hope they see this! If anyone knows it, feel free to tag them!

❤️ 🖤

A group of friends and I had a “My Favorite Things” party last night. For those of you who don’t know what that is (because I didn’t before this year,) it’s where you choose your favorite thing and get it for each participant.

My contribution was Spellmonger by Terry Mancour, so I provided them with a copy of book one, a print I drew of Urik’s Rebellion (a scene from the first book,) hand-sewn irionite pouches (with irionite!) and a letter from Pentandra, steward of The Arcane Orders!

I had SO much fun putting this together! (Ignore the misspelling of Minalan’s name… I was still working on this stuff like an hour before the party. -__-) 📕🖊️🖼️

Happy Yule, everyone! 🎄❤️

I was recently commissioned to create badge art for a local holiday festival. Of the three images I produced, this one is my absolute favorite! Thanks to my Hazbin Hotel (ahem… Alastor specific…) obsession, I’ve drawn a LOT of antlers this year! 🦌🥰

Ironically, the Rocky Mountain Yule Festival takes place at the Antlers Hotel… so it works on multiple levels!

If you’re local, come say hi! If you mention this post, I’ll give you a free copy of this print!

“Being cute is a job now?”

…Yes, Angel, it is!!

This is how I imagine Pidgin from The Riddle of Magic by @rubyfoxfyre. It’s just so PRECIOUS— I’d lay down my life (and all my limes 🍋‍🟩) for Alastor’s tiniest spectral servant!

[Side note: Due to the move, I haven’t been able to scan this in yet, but I’ll post it here as soon as I do!]

I’M ALIVE!

Between packing to move, prepping for a convention, and (maybe) having Covid, it’s been a month, y’all!! But I finally finished this, and wanted to share it with you. I haven’t gotten the chance to clean it up digitally, but I’ll repost it when I do!

This is for @rubyfoxfyre’s amazing fic The Riddle of Magic. I’m OBSESSED with how she portrays these two in her story! Drop what you’re doing now and check it out!

Doodle dump from chapters 17-24 of my Charlastor fic, Under My Skin. It was so fun to write (and draw) the mutual pining amping up in these chapters. 🥰

Good GOD, I love your art!! Seriously. I want a t-shirt with your “Haha, Tax Evasion!” sketch on it!

WIP— I was so charmed by Chapter 13 of @rubyfoxfyre’s fic —The Riddle of Magic— that I HAD to draw a scene. The idea that Alastor’s shadow sometimes touches foreheads with him in moments of stress or loneliness is a concept I can’t get out of my head!

“The spectre's form trembled, and its blue smile was wide, but full of pain.

It drifted forward, pressing its forehead against his briefly. It did that sometimes, after a long battle or during quiet contemplative moments when he felt alone.

Solitude had been his course in his life, and that was yet another thing that had followed him into death. It was what he was used to, but even so there were the occasional moments when he felt a yearning he couldn't control, for something he knew he couldn't have.”

The writing in The Riddle of Magic is absolutely incredible! This (probably) won’t be the only piece of fanart I draw for it! ❤️🖤

“We’re All Mad Here!”

I finally finished my insane Alastor, just in time for an upcoming convention I’ll be a vendor at! I’m stoked!

I’ve been trying to crank out art faster than the literal months it usually takes me, but my soul still hums a happy tune when I finish something I’ve spent 90 days working on!

I hope you guys like it! ❤️🖤

This is quite a bit late, but— Charlastor Week, Day 3: The Deal/Chains!

I finally finished the drawing, but haven’t done anything with it digitally. For those who don’t know, I do most of my artwork by hand in ballpoint pen (with white gel pens and microns added for contrast as needed.)

I’ve only just started seeing digital as a medium I can play with, maybe improve my art with— and it’s been fun to experiment! A friend gifted me an iPad a few years ago (shoutout to @cybermanj— thanks, dude!) and I’ve been using it quite a bit recently.

But sometimes, I just feel like cranking stuff out by hand without that extra step.

I had a lot of fun with this one! …Dare I mention Alastor’s fear boner again? ;)

CHARLASTOR WEEK, DAY 3; THE DEAL/CHAINS

Work in progress (because I ran out of time today.) I’m having a blast with it, though.

I love how Alastor’s face says “I totally have a fear boner right now!”

I won’t be taking part in the prompt tomorrow, because I’m super stoked to work on the ‘Whiskey Night’ prompt! @whamgram’s Under My Skin fic is inspiring me to crank out something whiskey-related…. ;)

CHARLASTOR WEEK 2024, DAY 2: HEAVEN AU

My issue with the Heaven AU is that I cannot imagine Alastor being redeemed, ever. It runs completely contrary to his character… so I decided to tackle this one with a twist! He doesn’t desire heaven, because his heaven is already in Hell. He sees it every time he looks into Charlie’s eyes. ❤️
