Hey y'all, welcome to my blog! I'm Echo :D (she/her straight)

I'm a girl with just a few too many interests. Legend of Zelda is my main fandom, but you'll find me reblogging/posting things for Arcane, Minecraft: Story Mode, Marvel, Stardew Valley, and more! (Check my blog description for curren obsession)

Weathering the Storm ch 7

This chapter is long and kinda angsty o-o Chapter 7 "From Frying Pan to Fire" from Weathering the Storm is out now!

Axel growled. "If it weren't for Ivor, Jesse wouldn't be like this right now."

"No kidding." Olivia agreed.

"That's...not exactly true," Petra looked up at them. "Ivor built the Wither, sure, but he couldn't have done it without that damn skull I gave him. I was so focused on that diamond..."

"Hey," Jesse drew her attention back to him. "I was just as involved in that deal as you were. You're not the only one at fault."

"But if I had just stopped to think--"

"He would've found another way to get the skull. Then we might've not been there to help Gabriel."

"Jesse, countless people have died--could die because I didn't stop and think."

"Playing the blame game just distracts and weighs people down," Jesse's eyes focused on her intensely. "You need to focus on what you can change."

She remembered saying something similar to Lukas. "Yeah. And I'm going to do everything I can to take that thing down."

A trio of iron golems spawned, easily clearing the room of the mobs. Petra was impressed until Jesse suddenly asked, "They won't attack us, right?"

"Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies."

"But--"

"Ask me no questions!"

Petra glanced back at Jesse, who simply clutched his arm and shrugged. When the golems were done, Soren was thankfully able to direct them to the side before leading the group into the next room. 

"Do you hear that?" Axel asked.

Petra suppressed a groan. "Oh God, hear what?"

"All that stuff whispering, 'Take me. Take me now'."
