Hollis, 32, he/it, fond of naps. I primarily blog about cute fluffy animals, things I think are funny, and whatever forms of media I'm currently into. You need me to tag stuff? I'll tag stuff for you.

I love when singers think maybe their song requires a little prerequisite information so they just cover it real fast so everyone’s on the same page. I love that TLC opens No Scrubs quickly reviewing exactly what a scrub is and when ABBA was like “just in case you didn’t know, famed 19th century militant ruler Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated in the battle of Waterloo. We though perhaps not everyone would know that. Alright, so moving on to my love life, which is similar to that actually,”

exactly thank u yes I saw that too. this is about in-song debriefing specifically. when the lyrics themselves are a quick explanation of the info you need to set u up for the rest of the song

the student said, "i'm reading a zen buddhist cookbook. with no recipes." and the teacher replied, "ah, dogen's instructions for the cook, written in 1237?" "yeah," said the student, "it's saying not to let rats fall into the rice pot"

letting rats fall into the rice pot violates the buddhist concept of nonviolence, ahimsa. and this is one of the more dauntingly advanced cookbooks i've ever seen

ingredients: 1 grain of dust.

step 1 turn the Wheel of Reality within the grain of dust

Limitations breed creativity in doing something despite those limitations, it's a known thing; however, I'd somehow never considered how it would apply to "showing your support for someone in a competition, when you're not allowed to make noise". This is delightful.

Plus, there's the humour that comes from something being MOSTLY familiar, but one important aspect is COMPLETELY opposite. NORMALLY, if you see a video of people cheering someone on, they're, well, cheering; but here, they're quieter than the average person riding the bus.

i had a dream i worked in an underwater restaurant and people kept ordering ice in their drinks and then getting mad at me when it would float away. and i’d tell them beforehand that the ice would float away & they’d be like lol no that’s not how it works just give me the ice. I’m fighting customer service battles never seen before

people have been saying squidward on this all day but this is the first one that made me laugh

Happy Anniversary. This is the original post. On this day in 2011 I was doing a charity drive for the natural disasters in Tōhoku and drew this. A few hours later I turned it into a gif and posted it here.

Here’s the original doodle before I drew it into a GIF

Happy 14th birthday Nyan Cat! The original post originated here on Tumblr
