With Fire and Iron follows a few defected reapers during the rule of Solus in Garlemald. As conquest and industrialization surge under the new empire, a few lone reapers find ways to undermine their rule. One reaper with an unknown past, Maximus, ends up taking in a displaced orphan in the midst of his quest for revenge.
