“I’m out of control again, aren’t I?” Bonnie questioned, she slowly but softly raised her hand to overlap with Klaus. She paused for a moment, exhaling as a mix of anger and sadness wavered over her body. This was too easy, even for Silas. Her defeated mental-state was simple to penetrate this way. Loss, guilt, grief and repeat lived within her veins. Showing up as Klaus after Elena tried to kill her was just the icing on the cake for Silas. Klaus wasn’t coming back for her not after she refused to leave Mystic Falls. She blew her chance. “Get your hands off of me!”
Klaus knew he should’ve killed Shane when he had the chance. Bonnie was determined to know Shane, believing she found a witch-connection that she never felt before much to his annoyance. Bonnie didn’t need any friends, all she needed was him. Now fire had dimmed behind the witch’s hazel-colored eyes but it hasn’t been put-out. If he has to remind Bonnie who she is then so be it.
Klaus caressed Bonnie’s cheek, and gripped her by waist pulling her closer to him. “You aren’t imagining things, love. You’ve bested him.” He wipes a quick tear that falls from her eyes. Klaus gentely takes her hand, encouraging Bonnie to twirl gracefully in her fitted blue gown. When she turns to face him again, Klaus leans in and softly presses his lips over hers.
“You came back for me?” Bonnie asked, her voice trembled with hope and disbelief. Without waiting for his answer, she wrapped her arms around his neck, trying and wishing she was taller to reach him. Her damaged heart was filled with gratitude.
“I swear to you that we will never part again. As long as I live,” Klaus said, whispering into Bonnie’s ear.
“Take me somewhere!” Bonnie yelled, excitedly.
“Where would you like to go, my love?” Klaus asked, bringing their hands together to kiss.
“Anywhere with you.” Bonnie asked, pulling Klaus further away from Mystic Falls High. “I want to get out of this gown.”
“That isn’t a problem, love.” Klaus said, pulling her close. “We can go to my home or yours. A hotel, if you’re feeling daring, we could just skip all of those and start here.” Klaus licked his plum lips gazing at the witch’s curves. “So what will it be?”
Bonnie giggled in response, smacking his chest and there subtlety Klaus could see hope re-building in her eyes. That’s all he needed out of her for now.
