🪷 and 💐 of the Rook asks for Rahim 👀
Hi, friend!! Thank you for these asks ❤️❤️
🪷 Does your Rook have an irrational phobia? (ie spiders or large man-made objects submerged underwater)
I can’t say it’s completely unfounded but Rook does not enjoy traveling through the random, very unstable portals opened up around Arlathan forest (the few in the Lighthouse). There is no way to know what’s waiting on the other side and who’s to say you’ll come out in the same shape you went in??
💐 What is the relationship Rook has with their faction mentor? What was the moment they sent Rook away like?
Isabela plucked a young, extremely malnourished galley slave named Rook out of a bad predicament and has kept him (mostly) out of harms way since. She noticed Rook’s aptitude for thievery appropriation early on and took him under her wing to further improve his skills in combat and negotiations.
Some of the Lord’s feel the reason she’s kept him so close is the amount of coin he nets the organization but anyone who has seen them interact knows that couldn’t be further from reality. Isabela sees him as a little brother, one she works double time to keep out of the very danger he doesn’t hesitate to put himself in.
That said, the trouble with the Noble and the stolen artifact wasn’t the first time Rook had brought the heat on himself. It was however, the first time Isabela couldn’t shield him fully. Having to leave behind the Lords and his family behind stung quite a bit. He and Isabela hadn’t been apart that long since their first meeting so it was quite an adjustment. But he understood why it had to happen and who doesn’t love a little PTO?
Of course, things began to get a lot more complicated after a certain ritual
