i feel like people who actively etch things into trees, bamboo, and other such plants should be captured and rehabilitated. because what the hell? you're not only commiting vandalism but you're also tearing into and permanently scarring the flesh of a living, breathing thing.

i dont care if you're doing it to declare your eternal love to your partner because like.. have you all collectively forgotten that etching into wood is how you cast curses? you're effectively dooming yourself and your lover to something meaningless and shallow, or something worse.
