as a former escape room host i highly recommend doing an escape room as a first date. its a great way to learn how ppl react under pressure and how well they collaborate with you right off the bat. also more than once ive seen people enter an escape room as a couple and exit broken up LOL its a fantastic litmus test

sorry to broadcast ur tags but this is also a valuable part of the litmus test! it seems like you learned a lot about how this person makes you feel in their social group. they didn't go out of their way to include you, and neither did their friends. therefore you can come to a pretty good conclusion about how you might feel being part of their life outside of an escape room; someone who doesnt include you or your feelings in a game is likely going to do the same in other situations

I told myself I would not get sad about the key we've lost but failed miserably. Now that I'm older I think I got sad about in different ways, so, woo...??? There's an extra crushing feeling I got that I'm not sure I felt the first time. Or maybe not as strongly.

I love the VA work and how animated and nicely directed the scenes are. I played the story once when it came out on the Wii U and then once I left the fandom I didn't revisit it. What a treat to experience again.

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

Support real artists ☀️

Today I was chatting with two guys and mentioned I was aroace. It went a little something like this.

A: wtf is that

B: it means she’s not attracted to people in that way

A: bro you can’t just not pick a side, that’s crazy

B: nah, it just means she’s spectator mode

A: OHHH IT MAKES SENSE NOW

I have never felt more validated or laughed so hard

The thing is I would be a lot less upset about paying $80 dollars for a video game if

A. The money actually went to the laborers and developers who made the game in the first place.

B. Prices for most console games were more flexible, and actually went down over time, rather than selling a years-old game from the last generation at a markup from it's original MSRP.

C. The price was adjusted for places where buying a video game can cost several month's paycheck.

Like games as a medium, especially big AAA titles, take an absurd amount of labor hours to make. In a just world, maybe GTA VI or whatever should be $100 dollars, given how many people probably bled for probably a decade to make it! Unfortunately that money will not, in this industry, go back to the developers, the coders, the artists who made the damn thing. They'll be worked to death, paid peanuts, and fired as soon as the game releases.

i dont hate shipping i just think a lot of you people maybe like shipping too much

its ok. you can engage in a fandom without shipping. its ok. there are other things you can do. not everything needs to be about romance and characters being cute and kissing

and not every unhealthy relationship has to be romantic either. can we get some love for unhealthy platonic and familial dynamics
