| Gyro | 30+ | She\Her | Bisexual | White/Mexican Mixed | Check out my Commission Info | My Art | Dying Light Blog | I tell myself I'm going to make an art blog one day. OH SHIT GUYS ART BLOG IS READY KINDA.

You can be talking to someone and she'll be like, "Oh I made a silly mistake. Women don't deserve voting rights teehee." And you'll be like, "What." And she'll be like, "Oh I'm sorry! That must sound so bad out of context. No it's this Tiktok meme where, if you're a girl and you do something dumb, you say 'Women don't deserve voting rights teehee.'"

And you'll be like, "That sounds bad." And she'll be like, "No no. It's totally not that bad. It's just a meme. Men say it too. Like if a man does something silly he'll be like, 'I am like those women who do not deserve to vote.'" And you'll be like, "Does that make it better?" And she'll be like, "Well there was one guy who tried to make 'Men shouldn't vote' a popular meme. But it never caught on and also he got yelled at a lot."

And then you drop it there because like, you're harshing the vibe.

God this makes me think of this screenshot:

"it minimizes you as a person" really wraps up my entire discomfort with the whole "oh but i'm just a girl" thing when used in most situations.

i almost never do vent art, much less post it but man, i have been feeling bummed out recently

Jerry Messing โ€œthe fedora guyโ€s GoFundMe. The face of the neck beard memes for many years and decades of how that affected his life. Disabled by covid and a coma and after his mums passing he has recently upped his donation goal after being forced to move (inability to afford rising rent prices and accommodations like a ramp)

I really do hope he pulls through.

Please spread his new gofundme. With the cuts to disability and what Medicaid will cover he needs help and has not had a donation in a month.

It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraiser on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. Slowly, collectively, we can make a difference in these people's lives. Share and donate as much as you can. https://docs.google.com/document/d/178EGDFKkHlh3y4TMVX82kqgITHsqtoMdNccI2f_94Os/edit?usp=sharing

Gaza Fundraiser Requests, 4/18/2025

(NOTE: Previous iterations of my request lists contained information that has been since rendered out-of-date. Please consult the most recent post in my blog tag โ€œGaza fundraiser request listโ€ for the latest info).

Below is a list of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip who have reached out to me via my ask-box this past week. I compile these new lists throughout my work week and post them every Friday.

As many of you already know, a ceasefire between the State of Israel and Hamas was reached at the start of this year. However, as of March 18th, Israel has officially broken the ceasefire, fully resuming their ongoing genocide in Gaza and continuing to inflict incalculable cruelty, suffering and trauma onto the Palestinian people.

A few notes on the ongoing genocide:

  1. The ceasefire was already extremely fragile, with Israel violating it hundreds of times by continuing to kill unarmed Palestinian civilians and blocking the food and medical aid required by the agreement. Because of this and Donald Trumpโ€™s fervent support for the ethnic cleansing plans of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and his far-right cabinet, fighting between the IDF and Hamas was already set to resume at any time.
  2. The conditions for Palestinians in Gaza are still unlivable. Food, medicine and basic living essentials are extremely price-gouged thanks to Israel's blockade. Many are still living in ramshackle tents and the bombed out ruins of their homes. This has left them and their families exposed to unsafe structural hazards, raw sewage, and the harshest elements.
  3. Because of the above-mentioned blockade, the collapsed waste and medical infrastructures are strained beyond capacity. Disease and famine are both extremely rampant, with many slowly dying of medical neglect, infections and hunger.
  4. The Rafah border crossing into Egypt is once again closed, but it will still require thousands of dollars per person to cross once it reopens.

Palestinians in Gaza still need all of the help they can get to rebuild their lives, as well as heal from the horrific physical and psychological violence inflicted upon them by the Israeli occupation.

Fundraisers that are low on donations are marked in red. Those whose donations have slowed down are marked in orange.

While youโ€™re here, donโ€™t forget your daily click!

On April 16th 2025 the US federal government has proposed to change the interpretation of the endangered species act so that it no longer protects habitat.

Wildlife need their habitat. If the ESA redefines harm so that habitat is no longer protected, the implications for wildlife would be catastrophic.

Ao3 campaign filling up in a blink of an eye is a joke

At this point making fun of it feels bad. Idk who are donating. But you people have money for your fic website but have no money for human lives.

Could cry you know. I could cry and I do feel like crying but uh. What's the point? I am just speechless that people can donate and reach $75000 in a day on a scam but when requested to donate to a fundraiser, a huge portion of fandom bloggers will accuse the families of being scammers and bots.

Requesting people that if you are reblogging the post, consider sharing my friend's fundraiser. It has been five days since he has been able to buy food for his family of 24.

As more evidence comes out this post will be updated, to view older versions of this post look at previous reblogs.

Yeah, that doesn't prevent pregnancy.

Dfgajagakala itโ€™s so you donโ€™t get a UTI ๐Ÿ˜‚

*facepalm* So, given that sex ed in the US is a tire fire:

Vagina-having people have a shorter urethra, which means weโ€™re more prone to UTIs because the bacteria doesnโ€™t have to travel as far to get up into your bladder and cause a problem.

Which means if youโ€™re exposing your bits to bacteria (as with sex), peeing will flush out bacteria in the urethra. (Urine isnโ€™t actually sterile - thatโ€™s a myth - but youโ€™re *supposed to* have a little bit of bacteria - thatโ€™s how bodies work. But it still flushes things out that shouldnโ€™t be there.)

Oh! You should ALSO pee after you masturbate, especially if it involves penetration with fingers/toys/etc

So Iโ€™ve blocked like five transphobes on this post, which I feel should have been relatively uncontroversial.

If youโ€™re one of the people saying โ€œYou meant โ€˜womenโ€™โ€, fuck you. I meant โ€œpeople who have a vagina, regardless of their gender or lack thereofโ€, and you can go fuck yourself with a cactus.

And you should pee afterward, so you donโ€™t get a UTI.

Lmao! That last line! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Keep this in mind if you recently started having sex again after vaginoplasty. It's a super important habit to get into. Especially if you weren't super careful about it preop.

I am posting this and saving it in drafts and queueing it again for like six months from now just got good measure

ALWAYS PEE AFTER SEX, Y'ALL

The original 'virgin vs chad' meme

I feel like everyone is sick of those stupid soyjack vs Chad "my opinion is good and based and correct, your opinion bad and wrong and stinky" memes by this point, as they're some of the lowest forms of current internet 'humor.' But precisely because those memes are so bad and also everywhere, I feel it's worth giving some credit to the fact that the original "The Virgin Walk / The Chad Stride" was actually a brilliant meme.

"The Virgin Walk" image showed up first, and it was standard 4chan stuff - which is to say, highly negative. Just a whole bunch of random small traits that people can have, bundled together in an accusatory way to try and make people insecure about them having "virgin" posture, by the kind of people who genuinely worries about being an "alpha male" (Or possibly pointing out their own flaws as a form of self-hatred, flip a coin when it comes to 4chan)

And then, on another thread, someone made the Chad Stride edit to go along with it.

It's a great piece of satire by how simple it is. Just by taking the traits listed in the original image, then inverting and exaggerating them, the result is an absurd caricature of a man who does not (and should not) exist. Through exaggeration, it demonstrates how the people who constantly worry about seeming 'Chad-like' are chasing after behaviour that is utterly unhinged and disconnected from reality.

I think this gif demonstrates it perfectly by putting it in motion:

Virgin is a normal, if insecure dude. Chad is an absolute fucking maniac. (Not to mention all the references to violence in the image)

So, while it did degrade into those awful soyjak memes we all know and hate because that is the nature of the internet, I feel like it's worth remembering that in the original image that spawned this entire trend, you're supposed to laugh at Chad. You shouldn't want to be Chad, because he's the menace to society [ credit to the gif's creator: https://x.com/art_miguelito/status/1107313740033212417 ; thanks to @softwaring for linking it ]

HEY, FELLOW HATERS OF INSANELY-BRIGHT CAR HEADLIGHTS, SOMEONE HAS STARTED A PETITION TO REGULATE THEM.

It's an official petition through the Australian Government's e-petition page, which means if it gets enough signatures, it will be tabled in government.

You do have to be an Australian citizen to sign it, BUT!!! PLEASE REBLOG THIS EVEN IF YOURE NOT, because these kind of things have a roll-on effect, and if Australia legislates LED headlights, then other countries may follow.

FYI, the petition asks only for your name and email, and once you've clicked the sign button, they'll send you an email to confirm your signature --- you need to click the confirmation link in the email to have your signature counted.
