shipping characters who are just friends in canon is more than okay but what’s annoying is when people take screenshots of them touching and say “friends don’t do that!”. i hate to break it to you but friends do hug and hold hands and cuddle. saying ‘friends don’t do that’ is reenforcing the idea that physical touch is reserved for lovers

sidon being aromantic would answer so many questions people have about him i think. he loves his family and friends the most, and he doesn't exactly love his spouse (at least not as intensely) but they've still built up trust and genuine respect outside the political arrangement

FAMILIAR FAMILIAR MASTERPOST

(EDIT: pinning this for linktober to keep things in order! All shenanigans will also be reposted on my alt blog, @critbit-hoard )

If you want to see my general info (and also which tags to look at my other art, click here)

FAMILIAR FAMILIAR is a self indulgent TOTK AU where Link and Zelda traverse the wild lands of Hyrule together. There are ruins to be discovered and monsters to be eaten.

This project is a linktober challenge that will extend past the month of october. Please be patient with me as this is entirely being funded by a hyperfixation and the support of beloved patreon backers (ty patreon backers). Pls note fanart, fanfics, and spinoffs are perfectly fine as long as credit is due!

the way Jesse McCartney voice acts like rent is constantly due the next day needs to be studied

"Get out of my way Yoko!" "You know I can't do that Rumi."

(I’m sorry I couldn’t resist drawing this part of Chiyoko’s story)

I've realized how Chiyoko and Harumi would get along pretty well before it was revealed she was 'The Quiet One'. I also feel like Harumi would have expected Chiyoko to understand where she is coming from because they've both lost their parents. At this point Chiyoko has had her character arc surrounding that and she does understand, which is why she has to stop her. In this moment, all Chiyo saw herself in Harumi more than before and wanted to help her the same way the ninja did. This scene also takes place shortly before Harumi's supposed "Death". Hope You enjoy!!

I’m in a shippy mood so enjoy some Celestialshipping pieces I made with some bonus doodles! Lloyd and Chiyoko is a ship I really enjoy drawing and writing. Also I saw this ‘ship in 5 minutes’ thing going around and I couldn’t resist doing it with Lloyd and Chiyoko.

Extra nickname: Lloyd: Life-light Chiyoko: Starship

Fun fact: before dating there was a lot of mutual pining and Lloyd would always try to take the first step but would be to embarrassed to go through with it. During they’re conversations Lloyd would try to say something heartfelt to her and Chiyoko would easily say something straight from the heart causing Lloyd to blush. She would then realize that what she said may have sounded romantic and would get flustered as well.

Hope you enjoy!

Now we’re getting into Chiyoko’s backstory!

A/N: on the second slide there are the Chinese characters ”爸爸” “妈妈” which means “Papa” and “Mama” in simplified Chinese. (I know the background is so bad. I gotta work on drawing buildings)

STORY:

Chiyoko used to live in a small village with her parents when she was little. Her mother’s name is Kairin Saito-Glenn and her father’s name is Tian Guan Glenn. Kairin wanted to keep her family name so she has two. Kairin is Japanese and Tian is Chinese and Caucasian. Her mom is definitely more strict because her dad was really laidback and playful. But her mother loved seeing their faces light up when they’d play together and would join the fun.

One day, her parents had a huge argument about whether or not they should tell her about her elemental powers and teach her how to use them. She inherited her powers from her father and he didn’t want her to go down a path that dangerous and leave her with such a huge burden to carry like he did and her mother wanted her to know that part of herself and embrace it instead of keeping it hidden. 6-year-old Yoko though that they hated her and thought she was a freak and a disappointment. She wanted to yell at them and tell them she hated them too but didn’t have the heart. Instead she ran out into the forest near their home. Whether it was to escape so she’d never have to see them again or to clear her mind is unknown to her. Tian and Kairin didn’t notice she was gone until it was too late. Shortly after, their village was attacked by a group that call themselves “Worshipers of the One True Master”. Their goal is to find all the elemental masters and give them to their leader, Ankoku, a half Oni half Yokai hybrid. Her Parents did their best to protect the village but went missing after the attack. No one knows where they are if if they’re even alive. That night Chiyoko saw smoke and ran back home to see her village in flames.

She looked for her parents everywhere but couldn’t find anyone; not even the other residents in her village. She was there for almost two weeks before word got out. She lived practically in the middle of nowhere and her village is very small so news doesn’t spread quickly. Her maternal grandparents took her in and raised her since. This experience is where her separation anxiety stems from. She fears the worst will happen if she isn’t there to protect the people she cares about. The fact that everyone and everything can come and go at the blink of an eye terrifies her. She’ll never know when the last time she’ll see someone is and she can’t risk it.

This is one of the forms Ankoku takes:
