I was tagged ages ago by @vossn but I had nothing to share but with the next chapter done her are the last six lines written:
“No. Just hold me. Hold me and tell me everything will be fine.” Heinrix clasped her tighter still. His heartbeat thrummed in her ear. The warmth of his embrace rekindled the ember in her chest, and its heat spread along her limbs. With every shared breath her splintered heart mended. Like a diligent craftsman, Heinrix reassembled it with every stroke of his hand. Every whisper added another tiny part. Every brush of his lips against her skin gave it another jagged piece back. It was far from being whole, yet it would heal with time and care. “Everything will fall into place, my love.”

I can't wait to catch up on Much Ado, Fran!
My last six lines are...
A slow whine escaped from the prisoner’s lips as they struggled to move.
His lip curled in disgust. It wasn’t worth the ammo to shoot them, he told himself, and turned to follow after Jae. She could have her special day of peace and rely on the gift of his mercy; that would be his present to her. But if he didn’t like her plan... Well, he’d be right back here, gun in hand, and as sure as the Aquila was gold, she could rely on the gift of oblivion he'd grant to this wretch.

Even your paragraphs come with cliffhangers!!! It's always worth the wait though.
Thank you for tagging me @holylustration !
These were the last six lines of my rough draft so far...
But there was always more work to be done and before she knew it a year had passed by without so much as a word from the Dark City. Abelard had suggested, almost cheerfully, that perhaps the young man had perished in his attempt to strong arm his way back into the xenos hierarchy. Engel couldn’t say for sure why he had made no effort yet to contact her, but she knew in her heart that he wasn’t dead. Before they had parted for the final confrontation with Calcazar, Engel had gifted Marazhai the von Valancius signet ring, the one she used to sign all her official documents and important letters. Initially made for Theodora’s hand, a giant of a woman in both personality and stature, the ring had to be worn on Engel’s thumb. Yet when she had slipped it onto Marazhai’s hand it had just barely been able to pass over the last knuckle of his smallest finger.
Let's see... I tag @velvet-apricots @sinick @rats-and-robots and @amphyxia
Thanks a lot for the tag, @fuchsiareign ! This is hot off the press (I just wrote it today)
Talion smiled. “How did you end up in Lithlad, Torvin? That’s a long way from the Blue Mountains!” “Well, after we killed the Great White Graug, I thought, what quarry could possibly top that? Then I remembered about the Were-wyrms!” As they started to walk further into town, Talion fell in step between Torvin and Baranor. “Now that I’m here,” Baranor said, studying Talion’s face, “what did you mean when you said I really shouldn’t miss this?”

I have been summoned to dig up a dusty work in progress -- all right then: the last chapter, working title -- The Shrieking Shack.
"What you did was brilliant," Harry repeats softly because this is incredibly important to voice. Brilliant in the manner of those sharp, precise and clinical sketches on the margins; brilliant, in the way of broken but still-living things. "It was all you. And it was beautiful."
"This isn't your day to die," he urges Severus. Pleads. Wills it to existence. "Please. Live!" Not for me. Not for anyone. For yourself. Even if out of spite. Just live!
If you see this you are OBLIGATED to reblog w/ the song currently stuck in your head :)

Priorities Ratbag: "A baby mûmak! Can we keep it?" Talion: "Let me tame this drake first!" Earlier this month, I was peeking over @sinick's shoulder at the Skyrim replay - a couple of mods made it possible to have Talion as a main character with an orc companion. So, essentially this turned it into a Shadow of War/Skyrim AU run inspired by @sinick's epic ongoing Ratbag/Talion 250k+ adventure: No War Should Be Fought Alone. Thus, this painting was born.
At first, I imagined Ratbag eager to get to harvesting and hoarding all the shiny dragon bone and mammoth tusks for the armor upgrades. (Knowing Sinick's gaming style, Talion is perpetually over-encumbered and has a mod allowing infinite storage.) But, The Author In Charge (thankfully <3) offered a different scene interpretation - as per subtitles above. Happy belated birthday, @sinick! (Even if it's closer to my birthday than yours, I did start painting it right before the date!)
Doe-Eyed Encounters
Publishing the original which was used as a banner for the SnarryBang Gift Exchange earlier this year. My working title for this was "Happy Birthday, Harry" and I kept imagining Severus trying to figure out a gift for The Chosen One Who Has It All and at the end just summoning up his Patronus and watching with amusement as Harry is mesmerized for a long, long time. "Hold up, I want to tell her one more thing..."
Why do we segregate sports by sex?
Disclaimer: this video was intended as a fun look at the inconsistent logic of gender segregation in sports, but as a short-form video, it naturally does not go into much nuance. One thing I want to make clear is that I do believe we should be making sports more inclusive to trans and intersex athletes, and it seems to me that a great starting point would be to stop gender segregating sports that really don’t need it. Like archery!

Soo, we watched Deadpool. No spoilers but... um. White picket fence + 2.5 pups power couple relationship status achieved 5 min in. I forecast Deadpool/Worst Wolverine ship (currently 840 found, but wasn't it in double digits yesterday?) exploding on ao3 in 3... 2... 1...
people should be allowed to read and write bad books

Every pride, you must reblog this. No exceptions
Anyone gonna mention how this guy actually preformed live with Carly Rae Jepsen?
I’m gonna scream is2g
I was thinking of reblogging this again just because the original video is still amazing, but then I see the second video and lost my mind. The upgraded fan, the body glitter, the sheer fact that he got to do this with the actual singer.
Article basically says that s2 will be greenlit if s1 blows up on Netflix when it drops there on May 31st.
To those who've already watched it and have Netflix, watch it again! To those who haven't, here's your chance, and spread the word! This show is incredible and unlike any other western animated show out there and it'd be a shame if it became yet another victim of corporate write-offs. Let's give Scavengers Reign a second chance at life!
This show is so good - a human colony ship essentially crash lands on an exoplanet teeming with truly alien life in an ecosystem like we've never seen before.
The art is gorgeous, the worldbuilding is fantastic, the story is compelling, and the voice acting and sound work are great.
Seldom do we get science fiction shows like this. It would be a tragedy if it's not renewed.
We here at Ad Astra strongly recommend Scavengers Reign!
