Lol, whenever one of these comes around, I'm reminded that organized people apparently have a separate WIP folder... My folder is one giant mess of both completed and not lol. But now that I look at it, there aren't many actual WIPs. Well, there are plenty for MDZS, but I don't think I'll be going back to those. As for TGCF, there are only a few:

Hi there! I wanted to say, I felt very touched and privileged receiving such a kind note. It can be very hard to reach out to an unfamiliar person on the internet and put yourself out there like that, please know that it’s tremendously appreciated. ❤️

Lol, your firstborn. You know, over the years, people have been occasionally throwing that line at me, and I would jokingly think, what am I to do with all your children, firstborn or otherwise? Raise them yourselves! Lol. But this week my country is debating introducing a new tax for people who don’t have children and it’s three times more than my income, and I’m starting to think on collecting on some of those promises, so don’t make them lightly… 😈😅

Anyway, jokes aside, I feel honored to receive such a sweet request. You’re right, I’m not currently in the Cherik fandom, but I think most people who follow me on tumblr are from that fandom, including some amazingly talented authors. As far as I can tell (I’m not here that often), they’re still very much into Cherik, so I’m posting this in the hopes that someone might pick up this prompt and create some joy. 😌

As for myself, I’ve been known to tune in and out of fandoms within a cycle of a few years, but that’s not something that can be predicted or guaranteed. Currently, I’m still obsessed with the world of Chinese BL novels, which I can’t recommend enough and which have saved my life, sanity, and what will to live I still have. Not that I’m trying to actively seduce anyone into a new fandom (I am trying to aggressively seduce everyone into a new fandom), but you know. Just putting it out there. If you liked the train wreck that was the Marriage Bargain, you’ll feel right at home there, just saying.😉

Lol. Well, I did rely on the donghua visuals because they closely followed the description in the novel. I'm old-fashioned like that, if there's a book, I prefer to take it as the primary source of canon rather than any adaptations.

Hm. I don't think for Turn Left specifically, it would have made much of a difference. LXC recognizes his brother before his appearance is revealed, the idea was that we are more than what we look like and the things that matter lie underneath. I thought it was rather on the nose, but perhaps I was too subtle? 😅

I don't intend to revisit this trope myself, no. I kind of feel like I've said all I wanted to? Maybe others will, that'd be fun. MDZS in general is a very mixed bag for me. Kind of like an ex you hate to love or love to hate? It had sort of very forcibly taken over my brain for a time, and I can't say I miss the semi-perpetual state of anger and frustration. 🤣

Hi! Thank you, I'm happy you liked the fic! Sadly, no, I haven't come across anything like this - if I had, I probably wouldn't have resorted to writing my own lol, that's the last phase of desperation.

I think I've met a few modern AUs where LZ grew up with his mother, apart from the rest of the family, but I didn't save them, as they usually heavily imply or downright say that LH is a brainwashed dick who doesn't care about his brother, and I'm deathly allergic to that, so I backpedaled pretty much immediately. But I know they exist. Canon-setting, though, nope, haven't come across any. Let me know if you find any? 😅
