I was going to wait till after work today, but then felt like we all deserve a monday morning treat ✨ So here is the finale of the best of the best gif tournament, where we have an incredibly beautiful moment from episode one vs an incredibly beautiful moment from episode eight - a tough choice, but there can only be one winner!

THE SEMI FINALS! I love the symmetry that our four remaining gifs are from episodes 1, 4, 5, and 8; it just goes to show that its a masterpiece from start to finish :) But which moment will make it through to the finale for a chance to be crowned champion of champions? omg you get it!! i rewatched tfatws last week and i really do think that john has social anxiety!! i picked up on a couple of things that made me think he had it! i feel like some of his ‘asshole’ comments in thunderbolts were him trying to think of the right thing to say but panicking and accidentally coming across the wrong way 💔

that little exchange between olivia and lemar in tfatws ep2 where they go “did he puke yet?” “not yet. you’re up” says SO much — they both KNOW he’s got social anxiety to the point of potentially throwing up, and that it takes the both of them to get john to some semblance of calm 🥺😭

fr!! that’s the interaction that inspired my original post! the “you’re up” made me think that it was a regular thing for both olivia and lemar to have to calm john’s anxiety!! also lemar saying that he failed drama class made me think that it was because of his nerves! and it makes sense why he excelled in football. he didn’t have to talk, he could build connections through his sport!

i keep thinking about that moment when they’re trying to escape the OXE vault, and john, put on the spot to make up a lie when being pressured to reveal their identities, goes “….no.”

also him telling yelena “at least you were a kid” in a really terrible attempt at comfort about her childhood. he’s trying so hard but words are not his friend 😔😔

The fact that when the Night Nurse comes to collect the boys Charles makes a very conscious step directly in front of Edwin. Like he is already in front of Edwin, of to the side slightly but in front nonetheless, and a couple steps ahead of him but when he pulls out his cricket bat he steps back to be an arms length away and standing directly in front of Edwin

"what's the worst thing you can do as an artist" is not "shade with black" or "not use references" or whatever the worst thing you can do as an artist is hate yourself. and that includes the person you used to be

"look at how bad my old art is" "this was so cringe" "it's embarrassing to look at this" what are you gaining here? belatedly being your own bully? is it more acceptable to hate a kid if it's the kid you used to be? shut the fuck up. be kind to yourself or don't say anything at all. people are really not laughing with you when you mock yourself and if they are maybe consider hanging out with nicer people. imo.

this also goes for having your personal blog tags be like "nobody cares (name)" or "shut up (name)" or whatever. why are you being mean to yourself. its not preventing other people from being mean to you just because you get the first shot in it just means you get shot twice. how is that better. how is any of that better
