I'm a dork, not gonna lie. Feel free to chat.

Something I think is neat and kind of funny is that Boba and Jango AND Din all demonstrate complete willingness to find the loopholes in their contracts and promises even if they won’t directly break their word. Like, Boba doing that thing where he gets his friend to pay him some pocket change in exchange for murder so that it’s technically in his contract. Din promising he wasn’t going to let that guy he hated “die by my hand” and then letting him get eaten by dogs.

And I actually rly like the conception of Mandalorians as people who understand that they are in some ways limited and weakened (at least in that career path lol) by their cultural dedication to following a strict Code of Honor. So to compensate for this they tend to be really good at negotiating their way into loopholes and technicalities via legalese and vaguely worded verbal agreements.

Happy regular platypus :)

(dont ask why some colors change the original file looks good to me)

Kept seeing people in the notes saying something about a fedora

but i dont know why putting a fedora on him would make any differeHOLY SHIT

PERRY THE PLATYPUS???

Oh for sure

The second gif is from YESTERDAY don't do this to me

You're too late perry the platypus, i will use my 10K-NOTES-INATOR and make EVERYONE in the TRI-STATE AREA see this post!

There is a photographer in our town that works for a local news feed just for our town (which I'm 90% sure is volunteer run) and I see him sometimes at things. He usually covers the town halls, school board meetings, he was taking photos at Juneteenth last year. Basically he's everywhere and I'm also everywhere, so we cross paths often.

But he also does a thing called 'My Final Photo,' which is just random day to day stuff happening in town that he thinks is cool enough to snap a photo of. Like... ongoing construction of the new buildings, when the crocuses come out, a bird landing on a lamppost. Stuff like that. He's a really talented photographer.

The Final Photo for yesterday was kind of awesome but I don't think he knows how much the caption contributed:

Because that is both

a. sick as hell

b. perfect encapsulation of the childhood experience.

figured out a way you can search for posts that are tagged TWO things on a blog!!! feeling clever

https://[blogURL].tumblr.com/search/%23[tag1]%2C%20%23[tag2]

remove the [brackets] when using it!

mods are asleep, share hacks that make the site usable against its will

“If you cant imagine your batman comforting a scared kid, thats not Batman. Thats the punisher in a silly hat”

The hero Gotham needs.

the japanese “-ne?” particle and the british slang term “innit” serve the same function

Standard English: It’s cold, isn’t it?

Japanese: Samui desu ne?

British: It’s fuckin’ freezin’, innit?

i have to do everything around here

i hate this cause i did japanese for like a year and this explains the use of the -ne particle WAYYYY better than my teachers ever did. it took me ages to comprehend what this post makes abundantly clear.

my teachers: its like a, a little rise at the end of a sentence, to show that you are seeking a response, while not warranting the -ka particle which would make it a proper question.

me: ok. i guess i get that??

this post: its like saying “innit?”

me: oh. oh no.

fun fact: afaik, "-ne" was inherited from the Portuguese settlers/priests that stayed in Japan in the 16th century. It comes from "né?", which the contraction of "não é?", "isn't it?".

It's LITERALLY "innit".

oh so like "eh" in canadian

@leaving-earth requested the least seen movies. So here we have a list of the top 100 films that tumblr users reported as having heard of but not having seen per results on @haveyouseenthismovie-poll.

TW: A couple of films famous for racism are on this list so please enter at your own risk.

This is all one take?? And they have MULTIPLE people as Robin Hood so that they can "cut" between them by spinning the camera??? Wow. That's so complicated but super clever
