Danny has been having issues trying to find a job that allows him to use his powers. He’s no longer in the superhero scene anymore but why not still put his powers to use?

After successfully gaining a job as a Stuntman, he didn’t know what he signed himself up to do but he took multiple classes to prepare and fell in love with the profession. His powers letting him further excel in his career as things like flight, intangibility, and duplication all were things that studio heads were delighted of as it lessened the cost of production.

Stuntman don’t get a lot of recognition by average film goers which is fine for Danny. Staying under the radar and living a normal life is all he could ever ask for.

Sadly for Danny, that anonymity didn’t last forever. Danny was hired as a stunt performer in a 90s satire esque autobiography movie written and starring the Gotham Billionaire Bruce Wayne.

During an on set interview midway though Bruce explaining to the interviewer that Hot Shots was his biggest inspiration for this film, Danny casually walked behind the set, just trying to get to the costume department and thinking nothing of being temporarily on camera behind the Billionaire.

The day the interview was uploaded onto YouTube, Danny’s phone was blowing up from messages from his friends and family telling him he had become an internet sensation overnight. It turns out his casual walk behind Bruce Wayne led to the internet losing their minds trying to find the Bruce Wayne look-alike. I mean, Danny DID become Bruce’s primary stunt double because he looked so similar, that’s the whole point of stunt doubles, but Danny didn’t think it was THAT similar.

I find the idea of 'giving the most paranoid man alive a kinda unsettling but relatively harmless dobbelgänger who is in no shape or form biologically related to him' beautiful.

Our boy is setting off all the alarms, yet the only thing he is found guilty of is shitty driving (and existing I guess)

Huh I though it is cause Bruce was looking for excuse to adopt Danny into family

Woke up in the middle of the night with another idea about this.

The antagonist knows they all have different powers. The antagonist does not know that they don't know that. This results in 90% of their plans failing.

For example:

Antagonist has set thing up so it appears that anyone attacking them directly will die horribly via special effects. Precog sees this, and tells the others. Time Traveler shrugs and charges anyway. The others can always go back and stop them, and this way they have more data! The attack goes through.

Antagonist gives a long "join me" speech to Regular Guy, expecting rejection, because they see them as a kindred evil genius. Regular Guy shrugs and says sure. Wanders off and "betrays" them halfway through a climactic battle because one of their pipes burst and they had to go home.

Antagonist sets things up so Precog and Mind Reader think they're going to do two different things by telling the henchpeople one thing and planning to do something else. They ask Time Traveler and Regular Guy to break the tie for them.

So after having a sort of redemption arc, Dan goes to Clockwork and asks if him could be reincarnated. CW agrees and Dan becomes Bruce Wayne, with all his memories intact.

(He’s still in the same universe as before so Danny (18), Dani(16), Jazz(20), etc are still alive and kicking)

He still has his Batman training montage but when he goes to Circus Haley he takes in Dick Grayson because he doesn’t want the boy to be fueled with anger like he was after the Nasty Burger accident.

So, Robin takes flight.

Bruce never mentions his previous life to Dick, and whenever he has to deal with a ghost issue, Alfred covers for him.

Bruce adopts Jason, Tim, Cass, Duke and when Damian comes around, Bruce’s sees someone so angry, so hurt he decides to get his shit together to parent right.

When Jason returns, Bruce figures out the entire Pit madness thing and fixes that for him.

(If he has a romantic relationship with Talia, Selina, Clark etc is up to you) (I personally ship Hal and Bruce together in this AU)

Maybe one day, he gets injured.

Ok so it's like 3am and I can only think of DC/DP but dimensional warfare. Like the GIW have been fucking with the dead so much, messing with Danny so much, that he decides fuck it we ball. If I become Danny do fucking be it.

Like Danny has tried to be good. He had tried desperately to be good since he was 14,since he died. Like he wasn't really a kid after that. He had tried to get help from the JL but his pleas were ignored, he tried to tell them about the GIW, he tried to tell them about the anti-ecto laws but he got nothing.

Now he was older, now he was bitter, now they had taken his children. Now was time for war. It was easy, so easy that it was uncomfortable for him. Killing shouldn't be so easy but humans were so fragile. He let ghosts and demons and anything else run wild, he had every city spirit cause their worse. JL and JLD are freaking the fuck out. Trying to prevent as much chaos as possible. They had to find those kids they had to play diplomate to an angry god or send the flash back before this to hopefully fix this. They had to fix this.

I feel like this wouldn't be a worldwide thing, first of all. I feel like the US is making this, as they own the GIW that have promised unlimited "green" energy, which the only sources are currently on US soil. It's just spiraling out because the GIW basically said "Yeah, we have it under control, we just can't have any capes poking around until it's too late." And being the GIW, their "under control" was... tenuous at best. I feel like Danny could have had Tucker poke around the tech side, and realize this is a US-only issue. They would still think the JL is in on it, because nothing was written down that says they've been in a comms blackout for years. They would expect full ignorance, and possible compliance.

So. This worldwide blackout. I see the clouds everywhere courtesy of Vortex, because they cannot ignore this issue if there are tangible effects to other countries, but the actual power blackout would probably be Technus and Tucker hitting the US power grid, and it folds like a house of cards. (If this is in No Man's Land, Gotham keeps its power, and so on. This is only affecting the US, since they are the ones keeping the GIW's lights on. I know nothing about NML, so I'll end it there.)

All this to clarify- what I'm about to try and write in may not make much sense if you know anything about that storyline, but we can work around it. Maybe Gotham stayed independent, I know I've seen that as part of a fic before. Fanfiction being a sandbox to play in means that sometimes the kids decide to eat it. I just wanted Gotham still running.

Considering that Danny and her seem to equate kidnapping to dating. But when someone brings this up to her she just looks at them like they grew a second head. See Cassie and Danny may be dumbasses who don’t know how dating works. But they do know how consent works.

Consensual kidnapping = dating

Nonconsensual kidnapping = regular kidnapping

They say this like it’s a completely logical and obvious fact. Grass is green, the sky is blue, and you date people through consensual kidnapping. Cassie and Danny can’t believe they have to explain this. I mean, seriously it’s like the others don’t know how dating works.
