I am reblogging this primarily for the international crowd because, AGAIN, legacy media is fucking around with the truth.

I spent all day yesterday in our nation’s capital protesting this regime and DOGE, and then marched on ICE Headquarters with Let Gaza Live directly after.

Our media is either not reporting on these protests or they are saying disingenuous shit like “thousands” or “hundreds of thousands” of protesters gathered. It was not hundreds of thousands.

It was millions.

Five million is the most recent I’ve been able to find, but of course it can be difficult to pin down just how many bodies showed up. What we do know is that in NYC, there were only 44 police officers for well over 200,000 people because they DID NOT EXPECT THIS TURNOUT. That alone goes to show just how successful the corrupt and complicit mainstream media has been in repressing our anger and activism. In DC, there were at least three MAJOR protests: Hands Off, Let Gaza Live, and We Are The Flood, which centers veterans and protests Project 2025 at the Heritage Foundation (while also seeking to educate people on Trump’s decades of ties to Russia). Some estimates have DC’s protests tipping 1,000,000. There is another Hands Off this month and intend to go.

The goal is 12 million. Those numbers matter. Those numbers cannot be ignored no matter what legacy media decides to cover. Numbers like that mean that no matter where someone lives in the USA, they’re driving by a damn protest at some point, or at least hearing about it the next morning in the local news. Nobody can feign ignorance with numbers like that. Please, please continue to join us abroad, and my fellow Americans, please attend the next protest if you are physically able. The time for action has already passed, we need you. We need your numbers. Find a friend, make a sign, or just come as you are. That’s what I did. However you are able, just be there.

And I am humbly asking for anyone who sees this and gives a damn about democracy, and the integrity of the human conscience just as much as the global economy, to boost this list of independent media sources based in the US. They continue to topple MAGA red mouthpieces like Fox News, Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, and more. Please. A new age of news consumption is dawning in our country. We have to help it along. We have to give fearful people a place to turn so they know they are not alone. So they don’t succumb to despair.

We are not powerless and we are not immobilized by fear. We will not be silent.
