hello! i am currently fundraising for my dear friend. here is what they have to say:

"Hi, I’m Vegas (They/Them). I’m a black and nonbinary artist. streamer, & other such creative titles. It absolutely pains me to be writing this out as I tend to hide the worst of my life from online because I detest being vulnerable for strangers or making people feel sorry for me, but I am at my wit’s end.

To put it very plainly, the place that I live in is completely uninhabitable. There are roaches, mold that has been ignored for years and only growing worse, and the whole place is falling apart, with the electrical wiring only having been fixed after several years of it being broken. This place has made my depression so much worse and it's getting to the point where I can no longer care for myself."

please consider donating and/or sharing!

Important and serious!!! . Death is chasing us, the Army approaches our tents.

Yesterday night, I was with my family in tentswere , all over a sudden, there was heavy bombing, gunfire, warplanes, displacement of people, injuries and martyrs around us. We fled the place in horror and left all our belongings, my and my brother children were terrified.

My brothers, sisters, father, mother and I gathered in one place so that if a missile comes, we will all die together and not leave anyone behind. After 16 hours, the occupation army withdrew after bombing the tents, people and the streets but it is close to us in the Hamad Towers area, which is just 1km from us. I am writing to you after a miracle that I am alive. Please help us and save our lives before it is too late

Hello,,

My name is Ashraf Alanqar, and I am 30 years old. My wife, Widad Issa, and I have a one-and-a-half-year-old son named Bakr. We used to live peacefully in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, in a house we built just a week before the war began. I worked as a farmer and owned a large chicken farm that provided for my family.

Beloved of my heart (Bakr)

Then the war came and destroyed everything. Our home was reduced to ashes, and our chicken farm was obliterated. We lost our home, our livelihood, and even our basic rights. We've been forced to move from place to place in northern Gaza, simply trying to survive.

My House before...

Me.. while trying to recognize what has happened..

The terror we feel as we flee from heavy bombardment is unbearable. The sound of explosions around us, the constant fear as we navigate through the rubble of destroyed homes searching for safety and food, haunts us every day. My son Bakr is constantly scared and suffers from severe malnutrition and skin diseases due to the lack of food, water, and sanitation.

Our beautiful memories.. :(

We urgently need your help. I am asking for your support to fund this campaign to move my family to a safe place, provide us with a proper home, and ensure we have enough food, water, and medical care.

Baker used to play with his dog.

Your donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in our lives. We desperately need your support and solidarity during this difficult time. Together, we can restore hope and safety to Ashraf and his family.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering my plea. Your support means more than words can express. Together, we can turn a story of loss into a journey of hope and resilience.

With deepest gratitude,

Ashraf & the Family

hi! i would like to highlight this fundraiser. i hope everyone who comes across this would help @mohammed-atallah (Muhammad Atallah and his family) in any way they can. scan the qr code (i got it from haruka aoki's pub materials) and donate.

Further details from Ahmed Alostaz, Muhammad's brother-in-law "My wife's brother, Muhammad, was going to bring aid from the Nabulsi roundabout. He was shot in his left hand by an explosive bullet, which led to nerve loss and bone fragmentation. He needs a bone graft outside Gaza, but the situation is difficult for them. Their house was completely destroyed, and Muhammad's father is also unwell and needs constant medical care. The family is focusing their efforts on caring for Muhammad, as he will need many operations to restore his hand to what it was, and also on rebuilding their destroyed home."

as of writing this post, this campaign is only around 16% completed. and their family is very grateful for it. here is an [Aug 21, 2024] update taken straight from their gfm:

[...] I am Iman, the eldest sister of Muhammad. There are no words to express how grateful my family and I are to all of you. We are a family of 13, including my young children Malak and Amir, Retaj, Rahaf, Saja, Alaa, Amani, Iman, Sobhi, Alaa, and Ahmed, my husband, and my brother Muhammad, who is injured. When we launched this fundraising campaign, I never imagined that it would receive so much love, generosity and compassion. I was honestly starting to lose hope and wondered if our innocent children would ever find safety again; I was preparing for the worst. Your unwavering support made me and my family feel hopeful again. [...] Please continue to support us and share our story so that our children and grandchildren can survive this brutal and relentless slaughter of our people and not just become numbers on your phone screens. I know that donations are not easy in these times, but I believe that every contribution has the power to change someone's life. That is why I am participating in this campaign with all my faith, not only to save them, but also to protect their dreams and help them get out of Gaza. [...] We will never forget how you stood by us during the darkest times of our lives. Thanks to each and every one of you, safety is no longer a distant dream. Things will never be the same again, but knowing that there are brave souls out there who will always stand by us is what keeps us from completely giving in to despair. With your help and generous donations, we can leave Gaza and build a new life and rise from the rubble. [...]

tag list under the cut for wider reach. i hope it's okay. dm me to be included/excluded. tysm. 🇵🇸 from the river to the sea, palestine will be free within our lifetime.

@danashehab has been fundraising since may and is just over €15,000 away from their goal l. as stated in the screenshot people are starting to believe the rafah crossing will open so it’s important to make sure everyone has the funds in case they are allowed to evacuate.

thee shehab family consists of dana (13), sahar (14), mona (9), malak (5), yehya (1.5), fahed, (38), reem (32), and grandmother mona (60). they have been shadowbanned and deleted a few times. you can also find this family at @monashehab

🚨urgent: Help evacuate my family from the Gaza war

Dear humanity, my supportive friends🙏

Hello, I am Sama from Gaza, from a family of 8, I am 15 years old, I help my older sister Asmaa(@asmaayyad) to ease the burden on her in collecting donations so that she can get us out of Gaza , I was studying middle school and my educational career stopped completely here in Gaza, our life stopped completely 💔🙏

We left our house one day during the days of the war under heavy bombardment to the south of the Strip and we did not return to it again, our house and our memories were destroyed.. Goodbye to the streets where I grew up and the corners where I took refuge 💔

Please help my and my family donating and sharing and reblogging.🙏

An Urgent Appeal for Your Help

Mohammed iwais has lost everything in the past 10 months, and the situation is dire with him being the sole provider for his family, and his sister still needs her medication to fully recover from her shot wound, and with several times they have been displaced, the severity of the situation I can't even put in words. Please let's come together. With every dollar you donate, you get the iwais family closer to their hope of safely evacuating a reality.

donations have really slowed the past couple days. I know lots of people need help right now but I want to stress that Mohammed and his family are in a dire situation, with multiple medical needs and heavy bombing causing them to be displaced yet again just yesterday. Mohammed's friend was able to set up a tent for him, otherwise he would have been sleeping on the street.

his campaign organiser is starting the next money transfer in just 2 days and these funds are critical for the whole family's survival.

5 USD = 53 SEK, but even the spare change from between your couch cushions will help 🙏

Please don’t skip ✋🏻

You can imagine that all these Israeli military vehicles and their allies are in the city of Rafah, which does not exceed 90 km!

10 months and more than 330 days, and this scenario has been repeated since October 7, and the scenes are repeated, displacement is repeated, and the genocidal aggression continues.

Please donate even a small amount so that we can escape from the fire. If you can't ,repost the link .

Donate if you can

Reblog if you can’t

Edit: I've seen some confusion so I would like to clarify: I don't vet these myself. I check the blogs have been vetted by other people (mainly Palestinian bloggers) before sharing the links. I invite you to verify the blogs/campaigns yourself if you would like, but please know I do try my best to check the campaigns have been verified before sharing them. It's very unlikely for me to share campaigns that haven't been verified

Edit 2: I've added verification links to all the campaigns, so you can see why I trust these blogs. I also added them to the original post

It’s entirely inappropriate that Hani’s fundraiser has been stalled ~20k away from its goal for months now. I don’t mean to be so aggressive, but it actually makes me so resentful when I start thinking of the fact that ao3 fundraisers w triple that goal reached it in days. I know that Hani has done everything from showing proof of authenticity, to going into his family’s strife in detail, to even providing pictures—something he absolutely does not have to do. Ignoring that and allowing the campaign to stagnate entirely is so cold. Please share and donate what you can. Clearly no one else has been.

I think this also really fucks w me because Hani genuinely has done everything. He showed the grotesque details. He did everything he could to get people to donate as little as pocket change. It’s jarring that that still wasn’t enough, that he barely moved to his goalpost. This should’ve already been achieved. He’s 23 & far too young to be shouldering this all by myself. Please help where you can instead of hovering.

Also y’all remember that no fundraiser achieved thousands of dollars via any grandiose donations. Most of them were just an aggregate of incremental donations made by people in passing. This really goes to show that a difference could be made literally by donating as little as pocket change. Too many children are involved in this fundraiser for it to just die. All I ask is you donate any sum of money you could (if possible), and share whether or not you can.
