Last complaint post bc as much as I lover being a hater I actually hate being genuinely upset publicly but it's actually insane the way people are acting like people being upset about their favorite character getting an incredibly drawn out and poorly executed "storyline" (in quotes bc it has been so sloppy done that it's not really a coherent narrative) that results in them being isolated from every other character to the point they are not included in a two part big team focused disaster and with no real resolution in sight is what? Just sour grapes? Unnecessary negativity? If you don't care about Eddie or if you just liked the episode anyway or whatever good for you! Genuinely I am glad for people that are having fun and maybe have a more chill relationship with the show/Eddie but it's ridiculous and condescending to act like people don't have legitimate gripes with how Eddie, as well as Chris, have been handled these past two seasons

#and the thing is i am normally a wait for the whole thing kind of guy#and i dont even think eddie is (usually) treated any worse than the other mains#but this whole vertigo/texas plot has been so bad and has gone on for so long without any actual development#or character exploration for eddie or chris#that havent even dealt with any of the shannon stuff which was the original trigger#what are we doing here#it really seems like this is all to serve bucks character and his arc more than anything else#which sucks a lot#eddie diaz#911 spoilers#original txt.

And well the thing is I like Eddie better than Buck. I care more about Eddie. I hated 7x04 badly and I hate this, not to sow devision but if Buck was EVER treated the way that Eddie is people would be on Tim's doorstep. So it's extremely funny to see Buck stans go around saying stop the negativity <3 it's okay if your fave isn't in one episode when they get mad if Buck is not the center of attention for literally one second. Eddie is a MAIN CHARACTER and Eddie being excluded (mandatory disclaimer it's two parts we have only seen one yada ya) from a major multi part disaster, one that his specific experiences and skills would be relevant to is so egregious to me sorry they would not do this for any other character and definitely not to Buck

the only Poast i will make about this but i do not think eddie would have fit into this episode as it stands with him in texas; it would have taken away from the tension/what they were trying to do and that's fine. HOWEVER. i AM somewhat annoyed that he was not in the episode BECAUSE he is still in texas for essentially no reason at this point. it's chapping my ass a little that eddie does not get to be a part of The Big Disaster (even in the background/not a main player, like how he was during the s8 opener) simply because we are still dealing with this annoying plot going on a year irl now. i am willing to admit some of this is irrational toxic eddiegirlism and also if they pull off Using this plot to bring eddie back to LA i will perhaps give them a little more grace. but i do wish they had moved episodes around or paced things differently to allow eddie to be there, and i also think that if this was any other main member of the 118 just straight up not being in a big disaster episode it would be equally weird and annoying. That's All
