why did people decide to add annoying character traits to dnd classes "paladin is the cop class" "bard is the horny class" shut up shut up shut up Paladins are about devotion without transaction or expectation and often without religious implication unlike warlocks or clerics!!! and they are both physically strong and full of magic and can fall any which way!!!! Devotion Glory Revenge Redemption Ancestry Oathbreaking !!!!! and Bards are just theater kids leave them alone
at their cores Paladins and Bards are about relentless passion and personal moral compasses and are objectively hard to play well. but they are full of light and love
the decrease in costuming quality over the last 20 years has been soooo precipitous & nauseating. i’m not even talking abt marvel’s cg supersuits or anything this time, look at the fabric quality, structure, layering, character, and craftsmanship of older costumes in 102 dalmations (2000) vs cruella (2021)
ever after (1998) vs cinderella (2021)
lord of the rings (2001-2003) vs the rings of power (2022)
this trend should upset you not just because it looks cheap, but because it suggests a strong anti-art and anti-labor movement in film and tv making. don’t forget costumers are unionized
I am a man of constant sorrow.

Did you know that you can believe systemic misandry on its own isn't real while also believing marginalized men are in fact oppressed in a unique way due to their manhood intersecting with their marginalized status... woa.. waow.. wow... and.. maybe they should have words for that..
Not to mention. Not allowing marginalized men to have words for specific kinds of bigotry they face further perpetuates the patriarchal idea that male experiences are 'the default'.
It's not a NECKLACE it's an AMULET ok it's a WIZARD thing IM MASC IM MASC IM MASC
"Wow omg you drawwwww? I wish I was a drawer soooo bad omg I suckkkk so bad at arrrt"
me:
So it's come my attention that there are a lot of students, particularly in humanities and social sciences disciplines, who need to hear this, so here goes:
Do the readings.
Oh my God, just do the readings. I promise, it gets easier once you get into the habit of it.
What makes a good student? Doing the readings. Literally just doing the readings is enough to make you a good student.
The readings *are* the course. The lectures are just priming you for the readings. The tutorials and seminars are just how we collectively process the readings. If the readings were intended to be optional, they would have been listed under the "optional readings" heading.
"Oh but I hate this reading! The author's an idiot, they're wrong about everything" Good. Do the reading and then tear it apart in class. This isn't high school, you're not expected to mindlessly absorb things anymore
they should invent 7 hours between 10pm and midnight
