i truly believe that by the end of it rakiel becomes somewhat of the worst possible conversation partner one might find when it comes to any medical theme. he's truly unhinged thr man is spiraling so fast. he counts his last days in how many chickens he can consume and is accustomed to what is basically meth+cocaine+caffeine dose of brain stimulator that he uses to pull several one-nighters in quick succession because he needs to create a cure for diabetes from three weeds and some monster's organ that he ripped with his own hands. do you expect him to be normal about anything. some poor doctor jokes about picking up tobacco from stress and rakiel says he puts the powder straight to his sinuses because it's proven to work faster and last longer
damian has suffered more than enough in canon BUT i do think it would be very funny if he lost one of his journals at some point but didn't think too much about it until 300 years later when rakiel drags him to a museum exhibition about them so they can laugh at some of the silliest misconceptions that have formed over time only to see his own writing staring back at him from behind a glass pane. his rpf is now in the public domain. it's been digitalized. there's a historical drama based on it coming out next year.
one thing bkmoon did in cpsm that i enjoy a lot is making rakiel into a sorta christian catholic saint because he also gets to live long enough to have the tale of his canonization get potentially retold to oblivion so many times over that i can imagine what basically is a substitute to st michael come down to earth to explain he did not in fact was stuck in a hopeless yaoi love triangle and he has no idea how it came to be known this way
this tweet is new but it is actually a fundamental text for me

can we like, have adaptations made by people who care about the thing they're adapting
Every time some showrunner is like "I didn't read the book" or "I know nothing about the game" I'm like??? WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING HERE THEN?
Or just as bad, implies that the original work was boring and theyβre going to βfix it.β π‘
do we think blond men are born evil or does some tragic event occur with all of them in their formative years

Hii!! ( βΈβΈβ’α΄β’βΈβΈ )ΰ©βΎβΎ
Been wondering while re-reading tged, does Llyod ever finish his end of the deal with Solitas? Like maybe in tcpsm? Cause honestly it's longgg over due if he still doesn't have a partner at tcpsm timeline lmao
oh, well, he kinda fulfilled it in tged? at the very least solitas told him the issue was settled as far as he was concerned π
so lloyd (indirectly) got him to meet a lady dragon more or less his age. and that was apparently enough for solitas to consider their deal fulfilled.
now him getting flores to be his girldfriend and marry him? that's a different story lmao
i think rakiel got closer in ten minutes that solitas in 300 years, if only because her mom was surprisingly in favor of it lol
hi can i ask when javier discovered lloyd isn't the real lloyd he called him fake lloyd (at hell train arc) but when did he call him master lloyd again? also i think javier called him young master or master instead of master lloyd or am i just imagining this stuff?
mmhhh i'm not sure i'm understanding your question nonnie
javier never stopped calling lloyd "master lloyd". at least not to his face. again, in the novel he never reveals to lloyd he knows he replaced og lloyd and changing the way he addresses him would give the game away, so he... doesn't.
in his thoughts he does use "fake lloyd" sometimes but it's not always and he's more likely to think of him as just "lloyd" or "master lloyd".
and i think he does use "young master" a couple times? that one is a bit more rare tho
so uh... yeah??
Hello! I've been binging your blog after finishing the webtoon and then the novel and I love your explorations of the source materials (especially javier and his relationship with the fronteras)! I haven't started cpsm yet but apparently Javier is the new King of Hell and Lloyd is an archangel? Did Lloyd replaced Gabriel or Raphael? (1/2)
oh hi! i am so very happy you're enjoying my ramblings and i'm so sorry it took me so long to reply!
and yeah javier took over as king of hell and lloyd became the archangel after their deaths! iirc it's not explicitly stated lloyd replaced gabriel as the new archangel, it's just said javier convinced the previous archangel to retire in order to leave the position open for lloyd to take but it's most likely that's exactly what happened.
as for what "absolute" means... honestly, i'm not entirely sure? the word used in korean is μ λμ and as far as i could find it's kind of... like a deity or a higher power? all-powerful, all-knowing, that sorta thing. but at least in this universe it's used as a general term for the ruler or most powerful being of each realm.
so there's javier as the king of hell, lloyd as the archangel in heaven, berkis as dragon king in the material world and acheros as demon king in the demon real. they're all absolutes of their respective realms.
and there's supposed to be... something else on top of everything but we haven't seen it yet so i don't have any info on that.
as for the system change in the manhwa,,,, yeah no that was just. lhm and khs changing stuff because they felt like it. they likely thought the system in the novel wasn't "funny enough" and decided to change it and give it a personality and motivations. god knows where they're taking that particular plot thread because that's certainly not something bk moon created lol
so sorry to disappoint but no, neither javier nor lloyd are the system. that's a manhwa original :)
May I ask what chapters in CPSM does Javier and Lloyd appear in the novel and in the webtoon? π Thank you~
sure! javier starts showing interest in rakiel in ch 391 but he doesn't properly show up until ch 465. and we get to hear lloyd in a phone call in ch 467 but we only get to really see him in ch 517. and we don't get to see them together until ch 530. it takes a while to get to them (Β΄β½ο½)
Helloo (ΰΉ'α΅'ΰΉ)βΈ*
How are ya? I hope yer doing well :D
Btw how do you handle llyod and javier bromance? I am currently rereading tged in preparation to read tcpsm but mann i forget how extra EXTRA bromantic they are and like whenever i read their interactions my heart feels as if it's being squeezed especially knowing the ending LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY AREN'T SECRETLY MARRIED ACKKKKKKKKK α΅’ ββ ββα΅’α΅£βββα΅’βπ° _(:ββΉγβ )_
omg hiii!!
oh that's an easy question! i don't :)
there's a reason i've been here since 2022, these idiots drove me insane and i'm barely recovering from it! i have so many posts where i break down exactly why i think the ending of tged is Not Great so i won't bore you with it again, but believe me i've gone off the deep end about it more times that i want to admit.
it will never not rub me the wrong way that if either of them was a girl, there would be absolutely no doubt at all that they were in love with each other. hell, even by the in-universe requirements to marry lloyd, javier is the person who best fits the bill in the entire world. the only reason they don't end up together is because they're both guys and it's so fucking obvious it's a little maddening.
that being said.
i think their relationship in canon is incredibly compelling even if we leave aside romance. they love each other so much and there's literally no way to deny it because the devotion they have for each other is the backbone of the plot. without their relationship there's simply no novel.
they are each other's most important person in the whole wide world. they wanted to spend the rest of their lives at each other's side and if they couldn't then they gladly offered their life so the other could survive.
and spoilers for cpsm but they are so enmeshed with each other that not even death could really keep them apart.
i'm at a point where i genuinely think that adding romance to their relationship would just be like... the cherry on top, y'know?? what they have is already so fucking good, making them kiss wouldn't be so much an improvement as a nice add-on. good to have but not indispensable.
if anything i'm more mad at the fact bk moon insisted on giving lloyd an underdeveloped, rushed and unnecessary romance that took him away from his home, instead of letting him enjoy the life he worked so hard to have with his family. i'm upset that he seemed to think lloyd couldn't have a happy ending unless he was married to a woman, no matter how little sense it made for his arc and how little he seems to want that.
ANYWAY i love them dearly and someone needs to take my keyboard away before i expand on it lmao
