warhorse was really like "okay so we're gonna do the evil gays trope -- but wait we're also gonna make you care about them and their fucked up crazy corrosively toxic but genuinely tender love so much you actively want them to paint the country in blood and you are rooting for them to slaughter all your good guys. oh yeah also your good guys are super gay for each other too. it's a big gay bohemia war. whenever they see each other, they're going to be like "haha you're sooo gay for that stupid little gayboy I ought to crush his larynx in front of you" and then bash each other with swords while ugly crying because that's how strong their gay love is. hope that is okay bye"

Also obsessed with the idea Henry and Hans slowly drifting apart as Hans gets more involved with his noble duty, having to answer more and more to the Catholics church, and Henry gets more involved with Zizka and the rising tide of changes in Bohemia. All the letter exchanges that turn increasingly cold and harsh as they find themselves at an ideological crossroad, the time apart in two different crowds that make them more and more incompatible with each other, even if the love is still there. Age and class difference turn the small stream of gap between them into an ocean.
Forever by your side
I'm bummed they fixed the door to Henry's (and Hans' because of course he sleeps there) room in Devil's Den... it used to get bugged out and locked often, so my friend and I came up with headcanon that this really happens. and Henry constantly has to lockpick the faulty lock to get inside
and then later he has to do it with tipsy Hans leaning on him and blabbering nonsense lol
(and even later Hans tries to kiss him all the time and Henry's like "my lord, fuck off, the lock is jammed, I can't see what I'm doing" and Hans is like "DO ME!". and the gang whoops and cheers at them from below the balcony)
