We’re not surprised, we’re just appalled. You expect us to be quiet about our home turning into hell?

i dont know if you know this, but i am actually usamerican, living through the fall of the us empire, and im not being a reactionary liberal about it. its possible to not be a moralist asshole about your losing of imperial benefits.

oh no our imperialist dominance over the world is crumbling and our benefits from it as proletarians in the core are dissipating… im so mad at USA bourgeois politician x for this… theyre making our home into hell…

anon. this is why communists here & in the global south have been telling you for years that our way of life is a product of bloody neocolonial domination. it's not to make you feel bad or to convince you to become a fair-trade-only no-carbon-footprint freegan. it's because this was inevitable, and the politicians who did the "right" things to maintain business as usual were delaying and exacerbating these consequences. it's because the only way to prevent this kind of precipitous fall was to have built a prepared and organized internationalist proletarian movement decades ago that could have directed and controlled the crises, and the only way to cope with it now is to recognize how and why it will continue to happen and start building apparatuses to manage the decline

or you could keep yelling at communists online for making you feel dumb about not realizing that eventually you would have to live like the other 95% of the world. that works too

not only this but arad "served" during the 1967 naksa which displaced 300,000 people and COMPLETELY emptied the villages of bayt nuba, imwas, and yalo. like he participated in an event that was (until the last year) one of the biggest iterations of the nakba ever.

highly recommend keeping a small portrait of a historical figure who met a grisly end on your work desk. for perspective.

me: oh thomas cromwell, we're really in it now. every day i get emails.

the postcard of thomas cromwell i keep on my desk: i was on committees with the duke of norfolk. and they beheaded me.

me: yep. good point.

me: cromwell. cromwell this post has got too big and famous and people are starting to misunderstand me on it.

the postcard of thomas cromwell i keep on my desk: oh no! you achieved too much fame and status? and now people are misrepresenting you? should we strip your lands and title? have you been beheaded?

me: YES ALRIGHT FINE

It could be any work of art, a piece of music, a song, a poem, a painting, a sculpture, but I'm looking for things that are purely and deliberately aesthetic in nature. And when I talk about being moved to tears by its beauty I mean that it's not because it spoke to your experiences or to the emotional state you were in, not because you felt Seen by it, but that the work on its own terms was so beautiful just experiencing it that it moved you to tears. No nuance btw

hey im really really financially struggling rn. i am out of money and took up a bunch of work and need to get paid soon but you know how it is with prices and state of the world right now, groceries and utilities are expensive.

if you want to help out, i have:

and ko-fi / paypal if you feel generous (thank you, kind stranger)

You move from the city to a cozy rural town. You inherit your grandfather's land, and set to working it. It's a big plot, so once you make enough, you can even pay some of the townsfolk to harvest and plant for you. The mayor thanks you for revitalising the village, and bestows upon you a shiny medal. One day, the civil unrest creeps closer, and a battalion of the revolutionary peoples army comes to town. They oust the mayor, and have the townsfolk establish a council. You can't sell your crops at market right now. The council, ultimately, decides to collectivise the town's farmland, most of which is yours. Do you work on the farmland that was once yours as a labourer, and accept only your share of the collective's wealth? Do you help the mayor, who is returning with the national guard? and whoch of these seven fuckable sprites do you chose to be your wife/boywife?

did you know that you can just not say something if you're white. you can just not talk. its okay. you dont have to write a paragraph worth of tags justifying why the reason you don't like rap 'isn't racist'. you dont have to apologize for being white. you can just not say anything and save yourself the humiliation. its alright. please take your hands off the keyboard

You fucking white demons are not listening and learning hard enough!

As much as I hate liberals and love to see them suffer, I do recognize that they’re probably in the equivalent of hell right now. Imagine being a resist lib, having no idea how anything works, and seeing the Bad Guy get to do everything he ever wanted ever and your Good Guys are just sitting with their thumbs up their asses
